Is a regular sleep pattern a must??

I tend to have 1 or 2 lucid dreams a month and due to how I live my life I should be having 1 or 2 a week.Iv been meditating daily for over a year now....I record my dreams and reality check when I feel necessary yet I still have endless dreams where I wake up kicking myself that I didn't question the obvious things I saw in my dreams that should of made me lucid.
I work 3 waking night shifts a week.i sleep at night on my days off and I do get enough sleep but I have 2 sleep patterns
If I'm working I sleep in the day from 9am till 2pm then sometimes 6pm till 8pmm
On days off I sleep at normal times from let's say 11-1 till 9-10am.
There seems to be something holding back my ability to have more lucid dreams and never been able to figure it out....I'm sure I can relate to some people here? I assume that aslong as I get enough rem sleep and know roughly when I'm gonna have rem sleep or rem rebound then I should be ok? And just for the record I only have d.i.l.ds and cannot do w.i.l.ds due to how long it takes me to fall asleep...sorry for the rant and poor display of grammar =D

I personally think sleep pattern doesn't matter.

Perhaps have a look at the Gravity RC: https://www.dreamviews.com/induction...real-time.html
It's a step towards ADA (All Day Awareness). In fact, I'd say it's a form of ADA.

Keep up the meditation too! Meditation is a fantastically positive thing to do. It improves life in all regards.

sorry for the rant and poor display of grammar
Your grammar isn't even that bad.
But saying DILD like d.i.l.d just itches my eyeballs in the wrong way. xD

I think for getting lucid dreams the only real factor is the amount of time you spend in REM. The specific times at which you do have REM I wouldn't think would matter too much. However, professionals in the sleep medicine field as well as psychology will tell you that a regular sleep pattern is the best way to avoid any issues with your health and sleep quality. I can for sure tell a difference when I am following a sleep schedule and the quality of my dream recall and overall health during the day.
