How can you remember more than the last 30 seconds of a dream, and have more vivid dreams?

Other than having a dream journal, and doing all day awareness, reality checks, and trying supplements like vitamin B, 5 HTP, Galantamine, and Choline, how can you remember more than the last 30 seconds of a dream, and have more **vivid dreams**?

Last night I had 5 HTP, did relaxation, and when ever I was awake in bed I did 'When I dream, I am aware that I am dreaming' affirmations, and at WBTB, I took Galantamine and Choline and then spent 15 minutes writing the affirmation on paper, and then had an hourly alarm. I also tried visualizing myself into a lucid dream, but I got horrible visualization skills. I remembered six dreams, a personal record, but it's always just the last part of the dream, less than a minute of the dream that I remember, and they are rarely ever vivid.

I've had seven LDs, and they've always been when the dream was vivid enough that I knew I was dreaming right when I started the dream. Of course they were all really short!

It takes time, sometimes a little longer than we would all like. Be diligent, don't overuse the drugs, and your dream recall will improve. You could also spend some time just developing recall. Affirmations will help.

I don't know by who, but it was mentioned in another thread that lucid dreaming is a strange skill. Even if you work really hard, you won't necessarily get results from it. It is guaranteed, though, that if you keep working at it, something will happen. Good luck!

Have you tried in-dream stabilization techniques? An example would be counting things, touching things, etc.

Increase your self-awareness in daily life. Practice quieting your mind.

Don't worry about writing things down in order. Get it on paper in point form and then construct the story. Ask yourself questions? What was I doing before that? Why did I do this? More of the dream will usually come back.

Since you mentioned choline, has anyone noticed a difference in dream recall/vividness while taking choline or eating a lot of eggs? I might coniser adding organic eggs as a larger part of my diet.
