a little thing for everyone to try, and you better try...

I tried sleeping in the fetal position, (legs up against your chest, arms, somewhere around there) I almost had a WILD this way, and I just had a MILD by using this technique, it was a loooong lucid dream too, and very vivid, most awesome...

anyway, go and try this and see what happens, i dont usually have lucid dreams, maybe about once every 2 weeks,
let me know what happens, okay?

very interesting, as i am the one who sparked this in another thread. It appears that as you become older your sleep positions change. For me, going back the old way helped, but for others new ways help... I guess its just different for everyone.

I have been going semi-lucid almost every night now.. however i am going to completly break this cycle by going on sleep deprivation for awile.....

The Tibetans dream yogis suggest sleeping on your right if you're a man your left if you're a woman. In the 'lion posture' - bend the knees enough so that you are stable, rest the top arm along the side and place the lower hand under the cheek. It may help to use a slightly higher pillow to make the sleep lighter. (from The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep, Tenzin Rinpoche, Snow Lion Pubs, Ithaca 1998)

I LD on all sides, but I think that on balance I do wake up from LDs, more than half the time, on my right.

Usually, when I LD, I'll wake up either on my right or on my stomach. But after my most vivid dreams, I'll wake up on my back.

I think my LD's are mostly on my right, but I haven't counted that to be sure...

btw Do you mean on your side or arse-in-the air?

When I was very young <4/5 I used the arse-in-the-air foetal position (like head-in-the-sand) to hide from dream monsters. If I cant see them they cant see me kind of logic! I used this in hide-and-seek games too, until my Mum pointed out that she could see me, and I was

I used to sleep w/my "arse-in-the-air", and I find myself waking up in that position when it's too cold... My mother teases me about it.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Fetal position...... * Slams head out of the gutter*

Yes this is the most common sleeping position. If you didn't know most of the time you curl up like that in your sleep. Have you ever noticed that the covers wherre kicked off o fyour bed at night. that is from you kicking around comming out of the position. But yeah I can see ho that woudl work for you mainly becasue it is the position we were born from!

      I think im lost!!!....
