      Getting up!

What do you guys do to make sure you get out of bed for the WBTB method?

I wake up, yes that's no problem, I just don't get up. I can't seem to coax myself into actualy getting up.

Put your alarm (if you use one) on the other side of your room!

... Or make sure your room is warm. The number one reason why WBTB laziness exists is because you feel so cozy in your bed, and the floor is so cold! Keep a pair of slippers close by!

I most definetely agree on the room warmness. We are all lizards at heart.

Maybe I'll have to do that. Most of my problem is I'm so dang comfy when I wake up.

The alarm thing should help too. I've tried it in the past. But I just got up and turned it off. lol

Lol, if you have ever actually done this, it's like a slap in the face when you don't want to get up so bad you don't and the alarm sits there torturing you from across the room.

      Lol, that's not too bad.
      Ever heard of the Clocky?
It's some alarm clock somebody modified; they put wheels on it. When the alarm goes off (and holy cow it's like it's trying to kill you with noise) it takes off. To turn it off, you have to chase it around your room until you manage to catch it.

That will wake you up like the wind.

Absolutely! If you live somewhere where the control of temperature is not up to you (like in a university dorm type place where they feel like freezing you in the winter and baking you in the summer), you could go to sleep with about 5 blankets too many. Then when you wake up for WBTB, you'll be baking to such a degree that you'll crave to get out of bed.

That thing is SO CUTE. Unless you actually use it for an alarm clock, that is! I don't think I could ever use it because getting up abruptly like that ruins my mood for the rest of the day, quite frankly.

I don't get out of bed in WBTB, it takes way too long for me to get to sleep if I move much from my position so I jut wake up and go back to sleep while thinking about lucid dreaming. It works for me

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

I have a similar problem. I get up naturally after 4 1/2 to 6 hours. Always have way before I heard about lucid dreaming (which was only 10 days ago tonight),
but I can wake, get up, and NEVER EVER EVER get back to bed.

That sounds like a good idea. I've tried it, I don't think I'm awake enough though, maybe I'll just stay away a little bit longer.
