For quite a while I have been practicing WILD with no avail. I have been doing what the forums suggested, but it hasn't worked for me. Then last night, without actually trying to WILD, I managed to finally reach SP consciously |

Will do. At first it took me by surprise but I'm so ready for next time. |
|
Took me by surprise too. |
|
I don't get it. What exactly did you do to cause SP? |
|
I find this rather strange. |
|
I somehow noticed my mind was thinking strange thoughts moments before I would normally hit SP. I think you are supposed to remain conscious the whole time, but I kinda jumped in at the last moment. |
|
My mind often starts to act out scenarios like that (but sometimes I have a little control over some of it) when I am trying to normally go to sleep, but it just makes it take forever to fall asleep. This has never made me fall into SP while still aware though. That's cool that it worked for you! |

dah! i have got to the making of the scenario to, when i get some ideas (often very strange ones) in my head. but then i haven't got any longer. i keep beeing here and then wake up or fall asleep. this is so irritable. |

I started with image streaming technique recently and it is starting to help me with visualisation. And it helped me to reach SP state too. And it happened, when i travelled by train. And had some time for nap while travelling. I focused myself on describing the scene {as suggested by image streaming technique} and fully forgot about my body. then i suddenly realise, i cannot move my body. As if i was imprisonned in my body. That was cool. Sleep paralysis came to me. I even didnt have to do anything. just let my mind wander. |

SP sounds like something everyone just HAS to experience at least once in their lives... Awesome stuff |

Staying awake to chase a dream...
It was weird for me. Sunday morning, I woke up early to do a wbtb and it was the first time in a looong while that i was able to visualize clearly. In my head, I put myself in a beach scene and I was jumping into the water, trying to catch fishes, while thinking this is what I'm going to do in my dream. Eventually i was visualizing so strongly that I completely forgot about my body but after a few minutes, I completely lost the image in my mind and I saw an old man's face who asked, "Will you please help my daughter?". The moment he said that, it felt like my head was grabbed and pulled over the side of my bed and when it felt like my entire body fell off, I saw an image of a girl but was shocked back awake from the experience. I checked to see if I was in a dream but I wasnt and when I tried starting over again, I couldnt visualize anything at all. |

i think i have come close to that random image thing. i was thinking about things as i was falling asleep, and then all of the sudden i noticed i caught myself thinking about something else totally different and very random. i coulndt control this, thus waking up from a very close-to sleep state. dont kknow if this is close to wild but whatervs |

I think i hit SP again. I was lying in bed for a while, then I gained conscious and realized how random my thoughts were and that they were kinda reenacting a scenario. Then I had this thought "time for bed" and i knew i was about to sleep and i heard this really loud clap. It got my heartrate going and I fully woke up. I'm pretty sure this is the begining of SP. Hopefully I will keep experiencing this enough that it won't keep making me nervous |
