Exclamation 1st WILD Maybe?? Pls Help Explain

      Please help:

Last night I went to sleep for about 6 hours and woke up. From here I was just planning on staying up for about 10 mins after saying to my self that I would go to sleep and remember I was in a dream.

I was trying to sleep for over an hour. So I said what the heck, I'll just try another WILD (I tried it before the other day for the 1st time). So there I lay for maybe an hour and a 1/2. My body got heavy every now and then, then it got STIFF. With my feet like pointing downward if you know what I mean.

Durning all that time I didn't really see much. Until my eyes started to blink really fast and then I was just thinking of blue sky! And then the blue sky came and I was making myself more stiff to get the blue sky all around me as it was just in front of my eyes. As I push and say more blue sky my hart starts pounding! As I see the sky getting ready to go all the way around me (I was saying to myself at this time, this is it! I'm in!) But my hart was hitting so hard, I tried to calm down, but my hart was still hitting hard so I pulled back.

Was that a WILD? In that norm to have your hart hit hard like that?

I tried to get back into for another hour, blinking eyes and all, but can't seem to know how to go all the way over. Do you pull yourself in like I was doing?

At one time, I was trying to see a DC in the sky that can pull me up. Didn't work... Please explain

when i attempted my first few WILDS my heart raced and raced, because at first i really was a bit freaked out. the buzzing and the hypnogogic imagery (HI) and not to mention the sleep paralysis (SP)! i remember feeling my heart racing faster and faster, and my work just seemed to revolve around this beating.... it was intense for me at that time. now, only several LDs away, and i am much more relaxed... =)

was it a successful WILD? seems like it, but success is not a black or white matter... anytime you have grown your experience level (which you did) is a plus for you! try to stay calm and focus on maintaining patience. most failed (or preempted) WILDs seem to be focusing on the act of WILD itself. just chill with focus and you will be fine! good luck!

I think I know why. Your heart started to pound and it got you kind of scared, and since it got you scared it went faster, then since it got faster you got more scared etc. So (What i think) the reason why your heart was pounding so fast was because you were focusing too much on it.

Btw: There are no deaths ever recorded from lucid dreaming.

Yeah, I'm sure it was me just being scared.

Last night I tried another WILD and got almost to the point again and it was not as bad. Leanring alot just from the exp.

PROBLEM: What tips can you give to ENTER the dream? I can get just about there, but can't ENTER it. I try to pull myself into it, or sink and it don't work.

Also, do you know if being in SP for a long time is bad for you? I ws trying to WILD for like 2 hours.

from my knowledge and from what i have read on here, SP is not harmful, just scary for some. and well, some can feel tired in the morning. i don't notice this fatigue and i can stay in SP about 30 minutes on average (the nights i do it). in some way i believe it can be as therapeutic as REM sleep for me and i welcome it. fun to explore the HIs and cool feelings. don't placebo your way into bad SP (don't believe it is scary for you)... believe it will be good, and it will be! =)

i don't have much to add about pulling yourself into the dream as i find it is quite uncontrollable for me. if i try something, it never works. if i don't try anything, i get success. perhaps just the standard passive control?

Maybe the problem is in a word try. What if you simply waited?

Yeah i dont know if i had a Wild just now, but as i was lying there i started thinking of things and realized i was dreaming no more then 10 seconds prior, kind of a weird feeling, as i was looking at my nephew in a dream then realized he wasnt here.

So i was lying there and suddenly i could hear a slight gurgling like water in my ears and some sort of vibration and i started seeing kaleidoscope like colors with my eyes closed.

Then it felt like my head was going down then it felt like it was going up and the colors in my eyes went all white and it stopped.

If thats what Wild is like then thats not nearly as bad as I've been lead to think.
Only deal now is why it stopped.

As stated before: Wait. But what I do is I imagine myself doing something passive, playing tennis, surfing, or just walking around in your room. Remember to do this in 1st person view. Then it becomes more and more intense and I sort of switch from daydreaming to being in the dream.

      If u catch my drift.

After this I was trying to WILD a few more times. The problem is not
in the word "try" I know all about knowing you can do it and just to do it.

It's just that after I try for like 2 hrs my body hurts. Is it norm for
your feet to twich like a dog? That's what make my body hurt

Ive never had a succesful WILD with the effects and everything, my WILDS have just been falling to sleep after waking up and being somewhere else, or still in my bed and instanlty knowing im dreaming, I don't notice any transition (is this more like WBTB, even though I don't get out of bed?)

But when I have ettempted WILDs without falling to sleep I find my hand and feet twitch occasionally, yes.
