Lightbulb I'm performing an experiment, and I need your (Yes, You!) help.

Now, if you read the topic title correctly, your wanting to know what exactly this 'experiment' that I'm talking about is! Well, you didn't have to be so dang pushy about it!

This is an experiment that would concern two types of people: People that are interested in new LD techniques, and people who are interested in the concept of Shared Lucid Dreaming. Or maybe you just think I'm cool. But I'm beating around the bush, let me get to the actual stuff you want to read.

The experiment is to see if one of you(yes, you!) could help induce one of my lucid dreams! The basic gist is this, for the next several days I will perform ZERO LD induction techniques, this means no MILD, WILD, FILD, VILD, HILD, or even a single ZOMGWTFBBQHAX-ILD. (I can swear to that!) Instead, I will depend on YOU to help me lucid dream! Hopefully, during the following days, some of you will inevitably have a Lucid Dream, maybe a WILD, or a MILD, don't know, don't care! It doesn't matter as long as your nice and lucid.

Well, now that your lucid, you may be asking "What do I do now, Oh mighty Jordan?" Well, the answer isn't so simple. This is where it gets a little sketchy, so hold to your conspiracy tapes! In your lucid dream, if able and willing, you must try to somehow get to my dream, and make me aware that I'm lucid! I don't care how you do it, tap me on the back, punch me in the face while screaming profanity, as long as you do it!

Now, considering that you made it this far and I'm now lucid like you, I will do one of two things:

ONE: I'll get very mad at you for doing whatever it was that you did, and not being completely sound, obliterate you in whatever manner I see fit. Or...

TWO: I'll be thankful for your help, I'll ponder the mysteries of dreaming, and maybe we can hang out a little bit! (Yes, you, hanging out with me!)

Now, I should have you know that if this doesn't work at all, you wasted a perfectly good LD on little ol' me. But hey, wasn't it worth it?

Alright, post and tell me what you think. If you want to help out, let me know, or drop me a PM. Heck, we might end up with several people just hanging around in my dream! You never know!

if you are giving up a few days of LDs i guess i can sacrifice one. i will probablly just call out your name and open a door or something and maybe try to teleport if that doesnt work. i am very sceptical but i got nothing better to do. if by some stroke of God i see you, im devin. and worst case scenerio i find someone who isnt you and whoop some DC ass anyway.

Thanks, hopefully we can get a few more people! By the way, try using the name Jordan, and try envisioning yourself sorta flying into my dream if you think that'll be better. Heck, if this works, lets battle or maybe go get some other people!

Gives me an idea, if whoever it is you see when you try to find me, say something like "May Flavored Cheese" and I could say it back or something, just for reassurance.

Hey if you all don't mind could you try that with me too?

I don't know if I believe in shared dreaming but it's worth a shot anyway.

When I figure out how the heck to get lucid I will do the best I can to devise a full proof experiment to see if it's possible. By foolproof I mean if it seems that the existence of shared dreaming has been proved, there's no possibility of it being just in your head.

...though I'd imagine that's probably been tried before.

Thanks for your help! Try this: Set an alarm or cell phone to 6 hours after you fall asleep. Wake up, right down whatever dream you had, then go back to sleep.

The key for me is to bother to really get up and write something, I'm not good at waking up haha

Wbtb has given me more vivid dreams. If I did it properly I could probably get lucid. Just gotta remember to do it properly

So if it's true that someone did enter your dream and made you lucid. Then you would have to report the exact same thing the person did to make you lucid....worth a shot, I'll do it! Watch out for me....if it works I'm hard to miss. I'll give you a lucid dream you'll never forget....

At the risk of sounding like a troll...

This experiment is futile, shared dreams are 100% impossible.

One way to do it is to 'bring' Iarejordan into my lucid dream and if he can report the same things...it's proof that it happened.

      I'm scared

Well, nothing lasts night, but I did have a small DILD + false awakening. But nothing intentional, I'll go put it in my dream journal on this forum. Keep trying tonight guys, first person there either gets a giant cookie of joy or a skyscraper on their head, I haven't decided.

Lucid dreaming is not something someone else can do for you. It's a discipline.

Well, the idea isn't that you guys are doing it for me, (though thats nice ) its to test concepts of DS.

Anyways, we have a few more people onboard it seems, lets take a shot at it tonight.

Maby try summoning a stargate to conect you to anouther persons dream. at least that way it does the work for you (also provides a way out again ).

I say this because once while dreaming for know aparent reason i came across one. The sight of it in the shopping center in itself nearly made me go lucid it was that odd.

Makes me think perhaps i was visited by someone, wouldnt suprise me though because i feel like iv'e been watched for quite a while now.

Dear metcalfracing and others - is it possible you could all just read the 'sticky' before you post in here. I know I'm not a manager here just an ordinary member, but it has been stated that the topics in this area are not to be subjects of debate or attack, in order that those members who do believe, might feel more comfortable in opening up and letting others know what they really think. Unbelievers should just observe, maybe they might learn something?
