How do I stop waking up to see if i am sleeping :S

ok so last night I became lucid once again only to once again wake up but this time I woke up a bit slower as I was still partially convience I was awake. Since I woke up slower I was able to pick out why I was waking up, but I was waking up too fast still, to stop my self from waking... It turns out that I am waking up to check if i was or wasn't asleep, as stupid as it sounds!... I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? If so how did you stop it? What can be done... So far I have been writting lines out that say "I will stay alsleep when i realize I am dreaming" but what else can I do?

here is a link to the dream I had last night http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...7&postcount=51

My dream journal contains atleast two other fail attempts at obtaining lucicity. Do you have any Idea of what I can do?
      Thanks!

      Hm.

I read recently that someone who was having this problem solved it by grabbing hold of something in the dream and hanging onto it.
They were able to stay lucid for a bit longer but were stuck carrying the grabbed object with them, like a security blanket.

Might want to give it a try if spinning or hand rubbing or the other techniques aren't working.

Other than that all I can say is keep trying. You'll get a handle on staying asleep and lucid eventually.

Don't let it panic you if the dream starts fading. Stay still, and chances are it'll become a DEILD.

Add confidence to the mix in whatever method you choose, and the results will be spectacular. =]

I agree with everyone else, but something that helps me sometimes is to try stay calm and focus on a particular thing that is around you, doesn't matter really. If you can walk, try to walk up to it and look at it really close.

Sometimes when I realize I am dreaming my limbs get heavy and I can barely move, or if I try too hard I move my limbs in real life and wake myself up. What helps me is to float around. I can't really explain how to do it, I don't really know myself. But like other things like going through walls and flying, you just have to know you can do it.

yeah like abra mentioned, you could always do DEILD.

It's a really easy technique if you know that you're waking up, and that way it wont matter if you wake up or not. You can still enter back into the dream.
