I'd have to be absolutly sure i'm dreaming in order to try levetation. And i'm hardly ONE HUNDRED percent sure ever.
I see. Well, I conceive of reality checks as a two part process - the first part is the mental part (e.g., "Am I dreaming? Are some of my dreamsigns present? Is this situation possible? Does this feel like a dream?") and the second part is the physical part (the actual reality check). The purpose of the physical reality check is not to question whether you are dreaming but to confirm (or disconfirm ) that you are dreaming. The second part is not always necessary - as others have pointed out, sometimes you "just know," without a doubt. However, other times you may never be quite fully convinced that you are dreaming without confirming with a physical reality check.
It looks like I'm starting to go off on a bit of a tangent here. What I'm trying to say is that the physical reality checks, while not always necessary, are still an important part of the reality checking process, and I wouldn't recommend neglecting them. Instead, my recommendation to you is to familiarize yourself with more and varied reality checks. Here is a tutorial which lists no fewer than 24 ways to test reality!! I would be beyond amazed if everyone single one of these failed while you were dreaming. So I suggest you start memorizing that list, and the next time you suspect that you're dreaming, you'll have a veritable arsenal of reality checks to confirm or disconfirm that .
