      I need some modivation

I've successfully wild'ed once, but it's been 3 weeks since i've accomplished it. This after at around 3 o clock i decided to wild and a part of me new it wasnt going to work since I wasn't in rem cycle but i did it anyways. So im laying there in a comfortable position, i start off with reverse blinking, after about 5 minutes i could feel my self very relaxed. I started my breathing technique and after awhile i felt a weird sensation as if i was being spun around. there was a force spinning me entire body around. I started seeing visuals. 2 blops of white figures come together in the middile of my eyelids to form a circle. I watched them passively and remained focused on my breathing. After a few mintues the sensations and visuals stopped but i was still unsure if i was yet dreaming because i could hear traffic outside So i was sure that i was still awake. but i'm just wondering if I'm close. Since my first wild was a lot different from this one, I'm not sure. Any tips on getting to that transition stage would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Just think of all the cool things you want to do.

If you have no ideas, check out the task of the month.

Sounds like you were close. The transition can be different every time you WILD. What did you do the last time you were successful?

Tactile visualizations always work pretty consistently, for me. I imagine myself doing something that engages my body, my sense of movement, and my sense of touch. The fantasy takes over, and I just find myself in a dream. Adam wrote a good guide on tactile WILDs:

I don't really like the false awakening / out of body type WILDs. I don't like having to separate directly from my body, and I don't like ruining it by assuming I'm in a dream prematurely.

Whenever I need motivation, I just start reading through peoples' dream journals. A little inspiration, a little jealousy. It lights a fire under my butt.
