I dunno If im right, since I'm not exactly the best person on Lucid Dreaming yet.. but I think you were stuck in SP(sleep paralysis), and were hallucinating all those faces. I.e when people hallucinate aliens and ugly witches etc (from what Ive heard). |

I don't think I was in sleep paralysis because I was completely awake... checked my phone and did reality checks to make sure. It was while I was awake trying to go back to sleep that I saw the faces with my eyes open and closed. |

that sounds a lot like an experience I had a few weeks ago. |

The residual hypnogogia is fairly common. When you don't move around too much, some stuff might linger. Your brain might not have been quite awake yet. |

I've done this before, but not for 5 minutes. One time back when I had my own bedroom, I saw a chocolate candy bar that was standing up on my stand, instead of laying down. I reached out for it, but my hand went through it and it dissapeared. |
