As I was falling asleep, I established an in and out breathing pattern. On my inhale established the intention to become lucid. On the pause between the inhale and the exhale, I continued to feel the intention. On the exhale, I actually visualized myself in a dream scene, and becoming lucid. And then I repeated it untill I fell asleep. Same scene every time.
The funny thing is that the dream i became lucid in was nothing like the scene but it worked anyway. Then I just never tried again for eight years or so. I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed
