      salvia-induced LD's perhaps?

      hey guys,
i was just wondering has anyone on here ever tried using salvia divinorum to try and help acheive a lucid dream? i've long been a fan of the stuff, but i'm a little wary about dreaming on it. anyone got any first hand experience or opinions? thanks in advance!

I need my sleep. I need about eight hours a day, and about ten at night.

good luck trying to sleep while on salvia.

The evening hangs beneath the moon, a silver thread on darkened dune.
With closing eyes and resting head; I know that sleep is coming soon.

Upon my pillow, safe in bed,
A thousand pictures fill my head,

      I cannot sleep , my mids aflight;
and yet my limbs seems made of lead.

Ya I don't get how you could possibly dream on salvia, I'm no expert, but doesn't it only last about 5 minutes?

      Great video!

I don't think he is saying he had a dream on salvia though, he was just describing a trip he had while lying on his bed.

People on youtube are really using salvia the wrong way, your not supposed to just smoke and trip out on it.

Shamans use it for spiritual reasons. I've read countless trip reports saying people had out-of-body experiences with it. Having their consciousness or awareness on a blade of grass or wooden door frame looking at their body and concluding that it was real.

That makes a little more sense, just ingesting a small amount. I'm still not sure it could last long enough to effect a dream though.

I will only say this once. NO DRUGS!!!!! Giving your life away to drugs is NOT worth it! Just learn to naturally have lucid dreams, for your own sake. For all you know, salvia could become cocaine, or meth, or heroin.
Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.

thats as pretty ignorant post dream sorry to say....food is considered a drug...anything we humans consume is pretty much a "drug" Moderation is key, what happens when someone eats out of control? that drug makes them fat as hell and causes health problems. Salvia is pretty safe if used right, its very intense but does not last long. Smokeing weed, dmt, salvia is better for you then legal ciggs and some fast foods we eat...so yeah.

Maybe, until you become addicted to the drugs and do nothing but trip out on them, which means you would waste your money on them and could lose your job and home.

Advocating against drugs in anything but ignorant.

You had a very valid point on fast food, though.

If you were to try it, you would want an oral dose for the purposes of lucid dreaming. Thats the best way to take it anyway. It lasts longer and has a less intense effect. That pretty much means fresh leaves which means growing your own plant. I tried to smoke for a wild once and had myself a great meditation session. I didn't remember my dreams that night at all though and I can think of no other reason that I wouldn't have. I have very strong recall most of the time and I didn't wake up to an alarm or get woken up or anything. Anybody that says that salvia is addictive doesn't know what they're talking about but I would keep it separate from lucid dreaming.

Hey, that's...okay, well, I don't. I'm just against drugs in general.

      ...Meh... do what you want.

      salvia

The first and last time i used Salvia was on a LSD/Methylone trip and it was insane. The first couple of minutes i actually thought i was in a lucid dream. I see many parallels between effects from salvia Divinorum and lucid dreams.

But sleep on it? I don“t think so...

Your not dreaming, ur just on a trip lol waking. Herbs are the only really helpfull lucid dreaming tools. Drugs on the other hand work while your awake not sleeping. Most drugs when high you wont be able to sleep. Dxm on large doses keeps u awake all night and low does has a lil affect on dreams. dxm givin me a few lucid dreams but its super unhealthy and nasty so yeah stick to legal herbs and vitamins for your lucid dreams.

Before Salvia was a drug it was an herb just like Calea Z the only difference is Salvia puts you in the dream world right away, Calea Z helps you get there faster.

Likewise with pretty much everyone here, I believe that before you begin to try and "lucid dream" on salvia you should master lucidity of a salvia trip, I will quite happily say that the intense effects of salvia are far more overwealming than that of your average dream.

I tried smoking salvia for the first time today with a friend of mine, it was 20x, at first I took a hit and I could feel some effects but the amount must have been a little bit to small so I took another one , a little bit bigger and I was also careful about holding it in long enough. But the effects of this for me were really similar to dreams in some ways. It's really really heavy, that's true but everything about the state you're in fits with what I sometimes go through in dreams. For example alot of times in my dreams I've all of a sudden jumped into a whole storyline, I know all the characters , I know all the places and this and that and then there is a mission to do or something I have to finish and I know I have to do it, and everything around it but I never ask myself why, I just know it's right. I had a really similar thing with my salvia trip, one of almost the only thing I can remember is that I was melting in with the furniture. I could see my friend but somehow I told myself that I would be able to talk to him in a little while, when I was done being a furniture. That doesn't make any sense, at all! but it did at that time, and felt totally right.

What I disliked was that the trip was really heavy and wild but I don't seem to remember any of it. My friend said I laughed like hell for about 3-4 minutes. I did get very relaxed and tired after it, so I think it definitely works well putting you to sleep after a good salvia session.

At most, you could THINK you're LDing. It would actually take place while awake, and the odds of it happening are slim.

Salvia seems to have extremely random effects.
