Unhappy Cant seem to have DILD

Ive been trying to have a DILD for such a long time ago. I do tons of reality checks daily but it seems the only way I can have a lucid is if I do WBTB.

But I have been trying WTBT for the past several days and that doesnt seem to work either. I just end up laying in bed for half an hour not falling asleep. I used to be pretty good at this. why cant I do it anymore??

Do you think I should try HILD? I'm pretty good at hypnosis, so maybe that will help.

      What do you think????
I dream a lot, need not be asleep.

What kind of DILD are you trying to induce?

Well, when you do reality checks it's best to really think deeply about whether you are dreaming or not. Don't just do random, 2-second checks, really take the time to ponder if you are dreaming or not. The more you think about LDing during the day, the more likely you are to dream. You'll eventually have a DILD if you keep at it.

i think you should just have patients and keep at it. keep recording your dreams and keep doing reality checks, and like hazel said make sure your reality checks are genuine, you really gotta ask yourself if your dreaming, take a look at your surroundings and really think about it.

I thought of a good reality check actually while I was dreaming last night and it did work. Just bite your finger hard enough to feel pain. If you dont feel pain and your finger just feels numb it's a pretty good chance your dreaming. Well worked for me anyway

Pain can actually be pretty easily emulated in dreams, which is why the pinch-me-I'm-dreaming doesn't really serve as a good reality check. Whatever works for you works, but make sure to always do a few reality checks in case one fails
