Nothing bad/impossible would happen. Try it!

I thought that I might as well try to do an DEILD. The dream faded all the way, and I didn't move my body or eyes(and kept them shut). I just layed their for 5 seconds, and then I suddenly felt really wierd....can't explain it. It didn't feel like when I was enterying SP. I have only started to enter SP before, and it didn't feel like this.( I felt all tingly, was hard to breath, and my heart was racing when I entered SP but wrecked it with the breathing). So, I felt really wierd for 5-10 seconds. I heard wierd techno-science fiction noises..HI?
Sleep paralysis doesn't have to feel the same every time. My own experiences have ranged from 100% tactile to 75% audial.

I did not know what I was suppossed to concentrate on. The tutorials say it is a lot easier to enter the dream you just exited, but I was dead in that, so I didn't want to waste the chance if I just woke up from the dream because I was dead.
Actually, you'd probably be more successful if you did focus on what you were just dreaming about. It makes it easier for the body to continue, y'know? But you have to be somewhat passive about this. You can't focus as if your life depended on it--you focus as if it's always been this way. As if the dream had never ended.

I was at the end of a REM cycle,
That's also a possible explanation as to why you failed. That's not your fault, though; that's luck.
