      Few Problems

You see, I have a sleeping issue where I don't fall asleep until 6-7am, waking up at around 2:30. Last night I tried reverse blinking (around 1am) thinking it'd help me fall asleep early. It didn't do anything.

And second, if I take a sleeping pill, would that effect my dreams? I'm sick of this insomnia or whatever it is, but at the same time I want to work on dreaming.

      Thank you for any help.

I think those pills will make your dreams more emotionless, and I don't think you will have as many, but if you set your mind to it, and think about it every night you should be able to have more dreams and maybe have a lucid! Just have confidence, and don't think about the pills. Also try searching a little on Google for more info.

If my sleeping pattern is really out of synch, I'll stay up an extra hour or so later than the previous night. Eventually I'll be going to sleep during the night time. As for the sleeping pills, I wouldn't advise them. Dreams are normally non existent or very low quality. If it's a natural one, then I would consider it, but not the stuff with diphenhydramine in it.

Eat a nice hot potato with melted butter, it helps me fall asleep.

I think your sleeping pattern is just out of sync.

I would try to stay up past 6 or 7 am so you are exhausted and can fall asleep when you want. Then just wait until like 9 or 10 or whatever and go to sleep.
What do you think of my transportation/spawning method/hypothesis? ... I think it's pretty badass...

I have the same problem. Hence, why I'm up right now. I have gotten to the point where I go to sleep around 12-1 for a few weeks though. If you have a laptop and typically use it on your bed for an hour or two before sleep try a few days without it. You have to associate your bed with sleeping only. Nothing else. Or if it is possible try sleeping on a couch or another bed for a few days to help you forget about bad experiences with trying to get to sleep in your own bed.

If that doesn't work, what works for me sometimes is laying down on the floor on your back for about 10 minutes. It sucks, but once you climb into bed you should feel extremely relaxed and can hopefully fall asleep. Also, if you don't want to take sleeping pills you can try melatonin. I usually only take 3mg and watch tv for about an hour and then I get really tired. There is more information on it in the Lucid Aids section. But what ALWAYS works for me is to stay up all through the night and the next day until around 10 at night. It's tough but it's the quickest way to get your sleep cycle back in check for a while at least.
