Effects of aging on dream recall/lucidity?

I have a question for the folks on here that are, say, 35+. Have you found much if any decline in dream recall and lucidity as you’ve grown older? I’ve been LDing for about a year (generally with success, I’ve had some pretty awesome ones) and I’ll be 27 in a few months. Recently I’ve read about decreases in “deep sleep” and general memory that the average person experiences as they progress into adulthood, which kind of got me worried; LDing is great and I’d like to keep having good ones as long as possible. Certainly I don’t expect that I’ll be able to do it forever, but do I at least have 8-10 good years left, or even more? What have been the experiences of veteran LDers that are a bit older? I hate to think that my abilities are already in danger of declining even as they’re starting to fully develop.

I'm 29, and have been lucid dreaming for around 10-15 years. I've noticed my sleep has changed a lot in the past few years. I can't sleep as long, and wake up a lot more throughout the night. I still have a ton of dreams and lucid dreams. I think waking up more throughout the night helps my dreaming.

I definitely don't dream as much as I did when I was a teenager, but that was like a golden age. Can't compare to that.

I'm interested to hear what other people say.

      I am 60

My first lucid when I was 58. I almost do not have any short memory. The frequency of my LDs has increased y last few months. I think that it is easy for young people to have lucid dreams.

I read somewhere that REM cycles get shorter as you age... But I don't believe everything I read.
