The Ultimate Technique? (don't get your hopes up)

This site is probably the best lucid dreaming community out there, and after years of joint effort and ideas, do we really have any EASY techniques for becoming lucid?

I keep coming back to this site to search for new techniques, with the hope that one day someone will come up with some really foolproof method (or at least foolproof for me). I am a lazy person, I would love to be able to regularly lucid dream but I can never get round to getting up in the middle of the night, or keeping reality checks going for long enough to have some effect in my dreams... People like me long for easy results.

So what do you think? Is there such a technique on the horizon? Or will lucid dreaming always be something that requires that extra effort, a prize for the persistent?

I'd really recommend WBTB. Once though I came back home completely exhausted and just slumped on my bed without bothering to change or lift the blanket even. It was cold and uncomfortable but I got hurled right into a vivid dream with a million chances to go lucid (but I'm an idiot and don't notice dream signs or do RCs ). Sleeping uncomfortably seems to affect me somehow. I dunno what might work for you.

Ah, don't think there is an easy way? Unless you want to spend money on the Nova dreamer, but it isn't going to work all of the time, easy though, the nova dreamer does everything for you <.<

      WBTB for sure.
      Download this timer:

Then go to bed at 9PM or 10PM ish, wake up around 4:00AM and STAY AWAKE for about 45 minutes. Go back to bed, start playing the timer (on an ipod, laptop, computer) and relax and try to fall asleep. The timer will wake you up at different times in it's 2 hour span. When it wakes you up, try NOT TO MOVE, or it will mess up your sleep paralysis. Let the timer do everything for you, and let it keep waking you up.

After a while, you'll anticipate the timer beeps, and will hopefully go lucid in a dream when you hear this outside noise.

I've tried this once, and had a pretty successful night.

If you have a set schedule, I think CAT would be the easiest method in the sense that you don't need to RC during the day or try to wake up in the middle of the night

Well you could just drug yourself or something. Apparently there are certain foods even that increase the chances of vivid dreams. And the more vivid dreams you have, the more likely you can improve your dream recall and eventually be able to DILD naturally.

I think the ultimate induction method will be based on some kind of hardware you strap to your head that influences the brain somehow.

For the present day, I can't believe nobody has produced an affordable EILD device; I'm sure the technology exists to make a cheap and effective device but, from what I hear, the next NovaDreamer is going to be very expensive.
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

hey, I think everybody has the perfect technique.
As long as you do it and enjoy it for a long time, then it's probably that it will become the perfect technique for you.
I found my technique, and I'm working on it as much as I can, without stressing.
I will tell you when I become lucid.

You can always use the CAN-WILD method where you have to wake up during the middle of the night. But the trick is, this also works during naps, well, at least for me.
