      I have a question regarding this too. I read somewhere that dreams are only 4 or 5 seconds long, but I once counted in an LD to around 30 seconds. How is this possible?

      Your REM phase lasts way longer then 5 seconds. And like I said time is subjective in dreams so you can have one dream that is 5 seonds and one that is a few hours in the same amount of time.

      Dreams last between 1 second and 45 minutes depending on how far along you are in your REM (longer dreams as the night goes on).
