      Lightbulb Problems Becoming Lucid

My dream recall is pretty good overall, the problem that i'm having is becoming lucid. I have somewhat vivid dreams and whenever I am lucid I cannot fully control my dreams. I can basically do what I want (walk around, talk, etc.) but I can't spawn cars and items nor fly. My sleeping pattern isn't that great but I usually get around 8-10 hours of sleep since i'm on summer vacation.

I don't feel like doing techniques because I don't have an alarm clock next to me at night.
      Any tips are greatly appreciated.

This is my first post and I just made this account today, I plan on sticking around for a while.

An alarmclock isn't required but for using the WILD technique it sort of is. If you really donŽt want to have an alarm clock next to your bed you will be best using the DILD. Which means youŽll be allready sleeping when you realise youŽr dreaming. Look through your journal and look for things that reoccur. In my case me being at work or seeing my youngest niece. You have to learn yourself that every time you encounter one of your dreamsigns in real life, (for me when I encounter my niece and when I become concious that i am at work) you do a reality check. Once that becomes an automatic movement it will very likely transfer onto your dream.

Hey Konfusi0n! First off, welcome to DV! I hope that we're able to help you out here, so let us know if there's other ways we can help. Feel free to browse the site, or if you get stuck with anything send a message to one of the Dream Guides (the guys and gals with the green names) and we'll do our best to point you in the right direction.

The fact that you're becoming lucid is a huge step! At least, it sounds like you're becoming lucid since you know you're dreaming, right? That's really all an LD is. As far as control, that will come with time and practice. One thing that I've found helps is to just try and be creative. Not everyone is going to be able to summon a car by walking through a door, but you might be able to by putting a miniature car in water and watching it grow or something like that. Don't think that some "method" of control is too silly or strange. If you think it might work, try it! You might be surprised with the results. Enjoy your dreams and just have fun and you'll be fine. Everyone dreams a little differently so you just have to find what works for you.

PATIENCE AND PERSISTANCY! And, I suggest the MILD(no waking up required!).

Ok, first thing: not ALL methods require waking yourself. Yes, DILD is good. I suggest the MILD however. I use it, and I also use patience and persistancy. The MILD is a low LD thing at first, but if you use patience and persistancy, you'll get LDs almost every otyher night. I do, and I love the MILD! Oh, always remember: The key to dream control, is either rubbing your hands, or spinning. That gets you clarity so it will be less vivid. Also, you have to BELIEVE to use dream control. Belief, is the key to success. GOOD LUCK!
