Can i have some help please? Wierd place, sleep paralysis

Hi this is my first post on dreamviews, i just need a wee bit of advice from maybe a more experience person. Just to explain were im at with lucid dreaming... i had sleep paralysis with really loud whoosing noises and vibrations which gets pretty intense before i knew anything about lucid dreaming, it happened for years.(freaked me out) I finial looked it up on the internet and found it was linked to lucid dreaming, and got quite excited and i read up on lots of lucid dreaming sites and forums. Because of this for awhile i lost the natural ability to fall into sleep paralysis because i was trying to do it! (very annoying) I figured this out and have managed to get back to a position where the whoosing and vibration occur but i now really have to concentrate when it starts to get to sleep paralysis instead of it just happening on its own and also when i get to sleep paralysis it does not seem as vivid, ill explain further in a bit. Now i assume the trying to hard thing is really only down to me and falling asleep naturally, but if this has happened to someone else or if any one has any tips it would be much appreciated.
My next problem leads on from this problem. I managed to get to sleep paralysis during my afternoon nap (this is when i always try and lucid dream i find it the easiest) an hour so ago, i started to fall asleep the whoosing and vibration started. I have to concentrate on whoosing and vibration which means sort of pushing with it or through it as i do the the vibrations fluxuate until i pushed and concentrated hard enough and i come into sleep paralysis but it seemed like i was half awake half dreaming, everything is hazy and sort of still buzzing and fizzing bit like energy. (this is where it gets quite hard to explain so i'm very sorry if i don't explain my self well but im trying) I tried to move my arms but it only felt as if the spirit of them was moving, the hard copy of me stay in it place. This has happened once before so i had a little control so i managed to move the spirit part of me around, felt like i was floating energy moving around, this is the weird bit (don't know how else it explain it and its the hardest part to remember clearly) but i then thought right i want to actually move around properly in my dream with what i can only describe as my actual dream body i concentrated on that and tried to move my dream body but as i tried to do this what i could see flickers between this hazy ?spirit dream? and what i thought was reality and finally my eyes opened to this new clear reality and at the time i thought "i've woke up" so i closed my eyes and went back to the ?spirit dream? and tried again but my eyes opened again to this clearer reality i assumed i was awake, so i thought right i'm going to get up out of my seat and stop trying cos i'm awake now and i sub consciously i heard a voice say wake up and it went black for a split second my actual eyes opened in the real world and i was awake. I hope that's not to confusing
What the hell is going on!!! lol i am a little baffled. It all gets a little confusing is there anything i can do to stablise my self or what, has anyone else experienced this spirit dream or is it called something else or am i doing something wrong. Does any one have any advice??
Im really sorry for the length of the post but i don't think reading any more threads will help and i had to try and explain my self properly. If you want me to try and explain something better please say.
      Many many thanks
      Richard

Sounds like that when you didn't know what was up, you were fine, but after knowing what it was and actually trying to get into SP it was hard. I've had a similar experiance, and I'm sure other people have as well. When you don't mean to do something, it's ok, but then when you try something on purpose, you can't and it's harder, lol

The half awake dreaming could be just HH/HI. Hypnogogic Hallucinations/ Imagery. They're normal. (This is also the same for the whooshing and buzzing sounds/ feelings you get). These are either spots/ stars of light/ color, lines, shapes, or sounds like whispers, or vibrations in your body

The "woke up" part sound like maybe an FA... False Awakening... in which you were actually dreaming, then closed your eyes and woke up. Happens sometimes

The "Spirit" you're talking about sounds like your spirit body or dream body

Stabilization methods are to say "stabilize" or "clarity" or rub your hands together or perform an RC... Reality Check. (count your fingers, push a finger into your palm, pinch your nose and try to breathe in). These are performed in the dream

I may not have answered your questions, but maybe you can look up terms that I mentioned and reasearch those and find more answers. Hopefully, someone will be able to help more
