I've decided to try MILD after not having any luck with WILD.

Anyway, I was wondering what to do about shifts in perspective when visualising. So, I internally say my mantra and visualise my last dream and I visualise becoming lucid and then starting to do a lucid task, then repeat. Except, the perspective of my view has a habit of changing when I visualise the becoming lucid part from the first person perspective of the recalled dream to a third person perspective. If I focus I can bring the visualisation back to first person, but it seems my natural inclination when visualising prospectively is to see from a third person perspective.

My question therefore is does it matter? Should I be focusing on bringing my perspective in line with the way I usually dream (first person) or should I just let it go with what comes naturally?

The reason I ask is that I'm worried that focusing too much might have kept me awake when I tried the technique last night as I was repeating it for a very long time and eventually gave up. On the flip I'm worried that it might not work if there is a perspective disconnect.

Many thanks in advance for your replies!
