Ayhunna, my animal/spirit guide/companion, has changed color for the third time. Need help here!

I have a book on animal totems I have no cracked yet. So everything here is a learning experience for me. Being a Christian for so long I have never had an animal guide/guardian/companion. Ayhunna, for those of you who don't know, is a fox that appeared to me and has stayed with me since a dream re-entry attempt a few months ago. I have no idea who or what he really is, or even that he really is a he. All I can say is that when he first appeared he was a normal red and white fox. This is odd in my case because as a Christian of course I wouldn't normally have such creatures to connect to in my mind, and secondly I don't think I've ever seen or interacted with a live fox - only ever seen pictures - so why a fox I have no idea. Last year I think he turned silver. I had been taking him along in my chakra meditations and exploring the landscapes of my chakras, and he had been helping me to heal and repair these areas, guiding me to the places where I needed to do something, and this was at the same time a process of healing and repairing deep wounds in my self related to what each chakra is connected to. Anyhow one day he comes up, ready for our favorite game, "chase the fox", and I see he's silver! I wasn't concerned. He still acted the same. But just a two days ago he changed to a white color and he seemed weaker. So now I am concerned. I don't know if the color relates in some way to his life force or his energy, or what. I don't know how to heal him or do anything for him, or even if there is anything I can do. I am worried that I will loose him, not in the sense of loosing a possession. Our relationship has always been one of wild animal who has chosen to be with me and a sort of companion/guide to me. He is not a pet, and I get the strong sense I am not to see him as a pet or something owned. He came of his volition, and will leave the same way. I can call him, and so far he has always come, but he can choose not to. I don't pet him, although about the same time he turned white he wanted me to scratch him behind the ears, which I resisted, figuring it was just my stupid human nature, but the way he communicates is sort of a mental preview/picture and I knew that's what he wanted when he repeated it. Today I think he told me to ride him, which sounds silly and completely out of the scope of our normal relationship, and how does a 230 pound, 6 foot tall human (in physical reality) get on the back of a fox and ride him or her like some sort of horse? But the preview/projection occurred a number of times and I know it was from him. I ignored it, fearing for his safety and health. If he projects that again tomorrow, assuming he is even there tomorrow, I will do as he requests. In any case if anyone has any clue what I can do here I would appreciate some advice! I know that like my chakra question this is probably not the forums for this sort of post, but I have no idea where I could go to get help on this. DreamBliss I have no idea but looking for any synchronisities in my life I think I might have two. One is that: innocent affection gets us intouch with a much younger us. The hindu's say that a newborn is still totally merged with god. When we have an oceanic spiritual experiance scientists say that's nothing but memory of being a baby. So the little vixen is encouraging you to be childlike and scratch her behind her ear. ***Oh, that just reminded me*** of Never Ending Story. The lovely, huge, flying Luck Dragon asks the dreamer boy to "ahhh, scratch behind my ear, i just cant reach it. Ah, very, ah, good". This happens the very first time the soft huge Luck Dragon appears. Tomorrow I will find that bit on YouTube for you. You will meld with the little boy you once were by scraching behind foxies ear. You will morph. Also, in my third enlightenment I quickly and smoothly shrank from a 15 year old down to a 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 year old then kept going Birth, 9 month, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 month in womb. And kept going to zero. None existant and that was full enlightenment. But as I came out I found the memory of infinity dont fit int human memory banks. Anyway The cunning wild doggy is changing to silver now white and encouraging you to follow him by getting in contact with your babyhood, (Buddhahood) by love and shrinking so "U" can ride her, (like a Luck Dragon) into "Fantasia" (!!!) If it were my dream or revery, (powerful daydream.)

Put: Atreyu meets Falkor Into the YouTube search bar It is (3:43) 19,286 views now And it was uploaded by BigFalkor on 24/May/2010 Atreyu awakens from his exhaustian to strange surroundings. He meets Falkor, whom he thinks wants to eat him, ***but earns Falkor's trust after scratching him behind the ear.*** He tells Atreyu that he had carried him 9,891 miles from the Swamps of Sadness. Atreyu now has a new friend.

DreamBliss, Generally speaking, I think these animals represent aspects of ourselves. That's why we dream of them, and its also why such animals exist. When those spirits are a part of us, they can interact intimately with other, somewhat dissimilar desires. When they're individual animals, they can be free to express their own natures more. As pets, they're in a somewhat intermediate state, where they're in separate bodies but are still trained by the presence of the minds of the humans they're living with. I seem to have a fox in myself also. I scratched a very large blue cat behind the ear in a dream a few months ago. For me, forms in dreams are very changeable. It would surprise me if an animal appeared the same way for more than a few minutes. There also seems to be an ebb and flow over a period of weeks, months and years, like phases of the moon. Some aspects of dream experience get weaker, some get stronger, and some occur more in waking life rather than in dream. I think as long as you are taking care of yourself, you should not worry about your dream friend, it will be fine too. Personally I think that people should be free to post wherever they feel like they're most likely to be understood, they shouldn't worry about being exactly on topic. Where in the US do you live, if you don't mind saying?

Thank you again for your posts. I'm worried. I know I said that Ayhunna came on his own, and will leave on his own, but I fear I am loosing him. Today he seemed barely there. Odd as this may sound, before he was in my mind as I felt a separate entity. I was imagining him, but he was real in my mind. Now I fear that my imagining him is not base don reality but on wishful thinking. There is a difference, or at least I believe there is. Anyhow today he seemed less there and I lost track of a him a few times in our game of "Chase the fox." I am struggling to let him be there if he is there, and not to hold on if he is not. I think this is the balance point between delusion and reality. Ayhunna is not an imaginary friend. He is a real entity that exists in another vibrational state separate from our own, or if you prefer a spiritual entity unable to interact in the physical realm except through the mind. However if in my fear of loss or if he is gone, or leaves, or I loose him entirely, I see him there based on natural wishful thinking, then I have crossed over into delusion. The Buddhists teach, "No attachment, no aversion." I have to put this into practice into this, as in all areas of my life. The question then is simply, am I seeing interacting with Ayhunna now, or my wishful thinking imagining of him? How will I tell the difference? This whole things is so hard to describe, in an area that I imagine most psychologists/psychiatrists would call delusion already. But I know what I have experienced in the last few months. It has all been new to me, still is in fact, and I am still learning. I have been given a gift, a blessing, and I am thankful. But I am sad at the prospect of loosing a friend. That too is strange because how can you be sad at the loss of something you have only ever experienced in your mind? Our society, or civilization, places far too much value on physical experience/interaction. I am seeing even more clearly now that there is far more to the experience of living that what this clumsy physical body can interact with. I am located in the Northwest. As I said in a previous post I am a little paranoid about personal details so that is all you will get out of me I remember the Never Ending Story and the Luck Dragon. Okay, if he's a visitor, ask why he's there, and if there's any reason why he should leave. My fox is a part deep within my soul and has stayed with me even though I haven't been that nice with him :S, foxes are loyal so you can trust in him, just ask him.

@debrajane Your post made me smile, thank you. @Everyone Else Three days ago Ayhunna, for lack of a better way of describing this, left me. We played, "Chase the fox" to a spring in the landscape of my root chakra. The spring was frozen solid, and required a special touch to thaw. I could not just send energy down there as usual. I had to learn how to infuse the water gently with energy, sort of like heating it up slowly. After he taught me this and we finished, I sat back against a tree and he laid down next to me. He sort of sparkled, then he was carried up into the light. I have tried very hard to be sure that I am not making him gone, that I am letting him be gone if he is and letting him stay if he is not. There is a difficult balance here. I can not confuse reality with my wishes or imaginations. Ayhunna has not appeared for two days now, so I'm pretty sure he is really gone. I have a memory of him, and today I think I sensed his spirit (how can you sense the spirit of a spiritual entity anyhow?) but I am not sure of that was wishful thinking imagining, or reality. I'm listening to Staind's latest self-titled album and The Dreaming, "Puppet." Trying to work on DREAM. Trying to let go without attachment or aversion - no stubborn attachment to a gift that has been taken away,m no aversion to letting it go. This is very hard for me. I have been lonely all my life. All of a sudden I had something special, a friend, a companion, and I didn't feel alone anymore. But now I feel it again, stronger and sharper than before.
