I believe this question might be better suited for the beyond dreaming section. |

I know it is possible for two people to be in the same dream, even if they haven't met in person, I know there is mutual lucid dreaming and I also know its possible for one person to be lucid and the other to not be lucid. |

Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Have questions about lucid dreaming? DM me.
The difference is that when you bring someone into your dream it's just a dream character created by your mind, and when you are actually in the same dream lucid (which isn't proven to be possible) you can actually make mental connections with them |
|
Yes people have been in the same dream lucid before, it is possible. |

Like I said it isn't proven show me the scientific evidence, but anyway even if one pair of people happened to have a shared dream it could just be a coincidence. Just like the world being predicted to end, it's not always true, people make up stories for all sorts of reasons. But I would like to see links you have based on shared dreams. |
|
Indeed, Reclypso is right in saying that there is no scientific evidence to support this. There is the testimony of a growing amount of people here at DV, and I myself spent a good year having close Skype contact with RavenKnight and WakingNomad, arguably the most well known 'shared dreamers' here. I experienced two interesting scenarios that left me relatively impressed. I still have regular contact with RavenKnight, but my intensions for shared dreaming dropped as its not easy to accomplish and very tiring to try. Can I say it does exist? I don't know; I am leaning towards yes. |
|
My main question is how difficult it would be. |
|
Its not easy. I dedicated every night for over a year and only ended up with 2 quality results. For most people, I think the effort, time, and doubt would overpower them. |
|
so you are saying you were able to make contact though? |
|
Well the most notable time was the second. Basically what happened was I had this dream that was very so-so, I was on a bus just driving along. But suddenly we went over a bridge and I got a sudden random urge to get out. I jumped into the water and swam; totally unusual non-lucid behaviour. I got to land and there was a beach, a huge forest, then huts. Looked like a small community of monks or something. They were not happy with me being there. Suddenly I found RavenKnight and WakingNomad putting up a tent. They then abducted me and got me out of the area. |

I was just reading those FAQ's and it's obvious you can't have a shared dream it's impossible if you connect the dots. The only way possible to have a shared 'experience' would be outside a dream, so like an astral projection or an OBE. Which are not dreams, according to the people that have them. |

Why do people still continue to have the same old discussion over and over again?! Try for yourself and then draw conclusions... |
