I think nightmare, then again I am also an skeptic so yeah <.< |

I am very skeptical on it, but I have a question from my child hood. For about 2weeks I had dreams where I would leave my bed and see my body then go places I have been. Like the mall. But something kept trapping me and eventually let me go. But I t was impossible to wake up until I got to my body. Was this an AP? Or just a nightmare. I think I eventually killed the thing that was scarring me but I haven't had a dream like that since. Also it was when I was 6 or so. What do you think? |

But its weird how I could not wake my self up(I was able to because I lucid dreamed unknowingly during my .child hood). Also weird how I had to go back to my body. |
So you never had those nightmares where you try to wake up but it doesn't works? It happens to a lot of people, nightmares where you can't wake up yourself and often the dream involves trying to contact someone from the outside to wake you up, yours would be a variant from that. |
Yeah, I get that, but all my other nightmares I had I was able to wake my self up. Which is weird. Maybe I an opinion from someone who believes in AP? |
Well, just because its not a normal nightmare (For you) you shouldn't label it as something unexplainable like AP, that basically means you want to believe in AP and use this chance to give yourself a reason to believe in it. |
Hehe I do want to believe it. So you may be right :p. But I sometimes have to prove things to believe them. But I believe in god, therefore souls and an after life. But AP just seems to out of this world to believe but it would be coolbif it was |

It is very hard to distinguish between a nightmare and an Out of Body Experience. When I was a child I was taken, inside an old cardboard tomato box, through my closet. All I remember of the place was darkness and flames. I always thought it was a nightmare, but the symptoms are too similar to an OBE, of which many children are particularly susceptible. What you are describing to me sounds like some version of sleep paralysis, a sure sign of a possible AP. It would help if you would go back over the experience and note any strange sights, sounds, or lights you saw. That will give you the final clue. |
