So last night I had a lucid.. To make a short story shorter.. I met some dude and he convinced me we were shared dreaming.. then we exchanged facebook info.. Dream fades and i wake up with a faint memory and no info. It got me thinking, what better way to prove (or disprove) shared dreaming by exchanging passwords! We set up the meet up spot (landmarks such as eiffel tower, the white house, pyramid of giza.. somewhere we're all familiar with) and we exchange dream views passwords.. If its truly a shared dream, the password will definitely work. Anybody got anything to add on to that? |

Actually, that experiment that hathor28 linked to has been modified to such an extent that it's not recognizable anymore. It is now a precognitive dreaming experiment which has nothing to do with actual shared dreams. |

Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving out my DV password (or password for any other internet account for that matter) and I'm sure many others would feel the same. |

The only reason i say our actual passwords is because it is constant in the real world, and its something we don't know... Plus how cool would it be to look at your posts and see that the experiment worked. You'd be amazed lol.. Especially if you recall the dream from the night before! |

It would be pretty disappointing if we are landing in separate realities when we dream, because there is possibly a infinite amount of other ones, and the likelihood of landing in the same one as someone else is 1:∞. |

I have a suggestion for anyone who finds this password idea interesting. How about if you start with just being able to get lucid and remember to call out the word three times? In the other thread, it really has become preccog or an ESP kind of issue. I would want both dreamers to just start with consistantly being able to do the part I mentioned. |
