      Reconnecting with Dream Guide

Lemme start this post with a story. When I was younger, I had a sort of a dream guide who would occasionally visit me in my dreams and show me things. Over time we became very close friends and I came to depend on his presence in my life. Then, one night I had a dream in which he told me I was going to leave "this place" and he showed me my life for the next decade or so. I began to weep at the thought of losing him, but he assured me that I would come back. Everything would be ok, in time, he said.

Lately, ive been feeling this pull to find this guide again. Its an amazing force that my mind is gravitating towards. It is very similar to Carl Jung's description of a dream character he called "philemon". This character is someone I long to see again. We had an extraordinary relationship and having that in my life again would be awesome.

So, to that end. I am going to spend the next week reaching towards this dream figure. I will post anything that is applicable in that time frame. I'm hoping posting this here will give me a sense of purpose to the task as in times past.

Good luck! I'm looking for someone who claimed to be my Dream guide months ago. Though people are making fun of me because of my fascination with her, it's really someone I've been longing to meet as well.

Hope you get some results in for next week!

My guide was my best friend for some of the hardest years of my life when there was no one in waking life i could talk to...good luck to you as well, being in contact with our guide is like being grounded it seems.

Link, let them laugh. People who explore LDs and do not seek a guide or even believe in such things are going to miss out on one of the most mystical and amazing things that can happen.

Good luck, but I do have a suggestion. Ffirst you should try to understand what these dream guides are. They can be one of many things, but hereare two common types. 1st is a yogi who mastered a skill found in "The Tibetian Book of the Dead" or anything from their culture that teachs the skill. Not all of them were last born on earth. It allows them to put off being re-born. They then get to stay in an astral dream realm until they choose to get born again. The other main type are guides who naturally exist in the astral realm and have not ever been born. So, keep in mind that they have lives of their own. They are teachers and the teaching takes place on their schedule.
If your dream guide told you he was leaving, he may have been choosing to be re-born or may have retired from teaching, or had a mission or pilgramige of some kind to fufill. Good luck on finding him, if it was a mission or subatical then you may suceed. However, a dream guide is not your soul mate. They are teachers. You can finish with one teacher and move on to another teacher. In meditation try sending telepathic thought to your dream guide assuming he may have left the dream realm. In this telepathic message ask that if he can not join you to please recommend you to another teacher.

I appreciate the suggestion sivason, meditating on it before I sleep is number one on my list at this point. Its been a chore just getting myself back to the dream world and this was a large part of my structure before. One thing I might elaborate upon is the way in which we parted.
My guide left shortly before I accepted my parents religious persuasion as my guard against fear. In the past, I had dealt with these fear monsters in my dreams. Anyway, that particular night I slept very soundly and dreamed into the morning. In the dream, my guide told me(as i remember it): You are going to leave this place for a while but you will come back, and when you do I will see you again." I asked him feeling heartbroken, why? He said "It doesnt matter why" then I dont remember exactly the words but paraphrasing he basically said it would be a good thing. This was all when i was around 10 years old.
Im not sure if he is a piece of me or a being apart from my consciousness. He seems to have indicated I would communicate with him at this "future time" so i think I will definitely find him.

thnx again, ill keep ya posted!

I agree with you. Action is great but interacting with the DCs, an actual link to the subconscious is incredible.

      Hello.
If you want to contact your dream guide again, they are usually (by my experience) drawn out in mostly, one, extreme emotional states (anger, depression, etc.) or when one's been meditating for quite a while. If you were to ask me, need for a guide usually draws them out.
If he's the gullible type (which he doesn't sound like), you can always summon him. On the other hand, you could try meditating WITHIN a lucid dream. (weird stuff happens when you do that, at least to me xD)
Try to ask him questions like, 'How can I see you again?' when you do meet him, it helps.
      Good luck.

My dream guide usually comes and make me feel better, that's about it. Last dream (very much awhile ago) i had was actually seeing Jesus Christ telling me something as in advice, i forgot already what it was, it was years ago, maybe that advice helped because i haven't had any dream guides recently since over 5yrs. When i really do meet them it is usually very healing experience. I don't know but maybe i can connect with very important spirits/guides only because i am a very good person at heart, and helps people who are needed.

hey guys, thanks for all the response. It has really motivated me to restart my dream engine and change things. In case you all were wondering, I havent had a dream with my guide that I have remembered as of yet, but I have this thread subscribed so I will check back in when that happens so we can all be happy for me.

IMO i think guides change once you advance in dreams. The guide i had when i was younger isn't around in dreams anymore.

Yes, I think you are right. I never see the first lady who was around for years, one of her friends took over or something like that.

Either that or she is actually a new woman who is kind of like a guide, but our interaction is casual. If that is true, she has changed, if not she is just no longer around my dreams.

Its been a while since I posted this and I have had a lot of dreams...There has been one dream that closely resembled a meeting with a dream guide but it was very strange...
I was lucid, walking through some trees when I came upon an elderly woman. I began to talk to her and proceded to tell her a profound truth that I had learned. She walked with me, yet didnt speak. We came to a horse stable, she walked around the corner and was gone. Then the dream ended...
Recently Ive been embroiled in a conflict. Two characters continue to recur in my dreams. One is an old hag/gollum type creature and those dreams are nightmares. While other dreams have a young maiden type character which also has been recurring. Its almost like my mind is sorting things out slowly but surely.
Perhaps now is not the time for my guide. Perhaps I already have the voices I need at this time. However, I would still love to see and feel the energy of my guide again.

Reoccuring DCs is a good start. I would take it as a sign that one is watching you, not yet comitted to training you, but interested. Remember, developing a truely audible voice is the best thing you can work on in the mean time. Many people experience an almost telepathic form of speaking with DCs, but dream guides want you to be a bit more deveolped than that. Get to where you can truely hear your voice, and that is a great start.
