Telepathy???!!???

Ok so my friend and I were attempting AP together in the same room, neither of us had ever actually gotten to the astral plane but we had both been very close the first time we had ever tried. So anyway, we were attempting it together, figuring that two heads are better than one So the second time we attempted (we kept getting interrupted by dogs barking) I heard her whisper my name. After we both 'woke up', I asked her if she had said my name. At first she was like....'well...nah, it can't really be...' but after a while she finally said that she had said my name, but in her head. She didn't say it out loud, she said. So I was a little skeptical, figuring she was probably only saying this so that I would think it was happening. But THEN..... The fourth time we attempted, I tried calling to her in my head. I called her several times. Then, BAM the stupid dog barks again and we are jolted 'awake'. She looks at me immediately and ASKS IF I SAID HER NAME. So, I was like holy shit...yea, I did, like half a second before she asked me if I had. But I said it IN my HEAD. So we're both pretty shocked....did we REALLY just do that?? Did we just become telepathic?? There is no denying it...I am so stoked for this!! I didn't even know it was possible! She said she heard me three times, getting louder each time. And the funny thing is, the last time I said her name, before we 'woke', I did yell it in my head. I was mad at the dog lol... One thing we both noticed, though, was each time we heard each other, we were really close to entering the astral plane. So this makes me wonder if telepathy really only works there, or, is it possible to hone the skill and use it in every day life? If anyone has had an event like this happen, some input would be VERY welcome.

Never tried it personally but I have read studies that suggest telepathy is possible and has been done. Might be worth doing some of your own research to enhance your skills if it interests you.

Did you actually hear her voice in your head? Or was it your own voice? Because the times I've experienced telepathy with my brother it is my own thoughts that we just happen to both be thinking. I don't know if I'm thinking because of him or him because of me, but one of us ends up saying whatever it is and the other immediately says that he was thinking of just that. Maybe it's just not quite the same type of telepathy. I don't know :S From what I have read about telepathy I think that we might all be having telepathic moments and maybe just not realising due to it being our own voices and no one speaking out. I have also read that for telepathy ideally all you would really need is to care more about what someone else is thinking than your own thinking. I have never experienced any deliberate telepathy though, so I wouldn't know.

Awesome! This kind of stuff is very interesting. It might be just a coincidence (people have auditory hallucinations all the time while attempting WILD's) , but it would be awesome if it isn't. I read Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the inner self and there are a lot of anecdotes of people being successful with telepathy and dream sharing and stuff like that. You should try yelling a word in your head and see if she gets it right

I would think it be normal to be saying the other persons name in your head while in the same room. So asking if the other person said your name... well yeah they probably thought about it. You'll be 100% certain beyond doubt when you have a real experience.

@Rodrodrod: No, I heard her voice as if she had spoken out loud. I thought that she had, when I asked her if she said my name. She said that she hadn't said it out loud, so I was shocked. I heard it as though she had just whispered to me. Good idea, @PRtitohp5. Next time, I will say something more complicated. @Michael: I was fairly certain.

If anyone has had an event like this happen, some input would be VERY welcome. Well, its hard to say whether it was telepathic or no, because you already asked her if she said your name. Second case could be easily triggered by your subconscious minds. If you will keep practicing this, you will notice how your brain follows some of your ideas unintentionally and you will understand what I meant. The only way to check if this really happens, wait for some random weird sync. For example a unique phrase, number, question.. anything unique that you did not talk about, anything that could not be triggered from what you did/talked/watched recently. You are very lucky to have a person near you who is interested in this kind of experience. I know that shared dreams do work, if shared dreaming exists then telepathy should be even easier with somebody who you know well. Will be looking for updates on this topic

It's a neat start, do you think you and your friend would be willing to try and reproduce results in at least a semi-controlled environment and post your results? Right now there are too many variables, especially since she expected you to say her name after she said yours first.

@ OP, I have had the same question for a while now. I mean RV is the fastest way to get an image of someone or something far off, but you have a lot of deciphering to do and AT or OBE takes more time on the front end, but your images are more clear if you can remember them. I think the three ( including telepathy) have some common strand and I sometimes ponder what that common thread is. I think shared dreaming is right there with them and I don't think it should surprise anyone that those of us on the site that are into one or the other end up interested in the whole lot of telepathic phenomena.
