      Pro-Tip for APing

There is one tool regular AP'ers use to explore the astral which is a very well kept secret and that is pranayama.

When we sleep at night we enter our own internal astral realm where life-force or prana is more easily sustained. When you leave that internal realm you require more life-force or prana to do it. The pranayama breathing technique is also used to activate the pineal gland, increase vitality and extend lifespan. There are many techniques for leaving the body, the simplest version of which is to quiet the mind and become aware of your astral body. This may seem very oversimplified but it's the basic mechanic involved and reliance on elaborate techniques will not lead to mastery. When mastery is achieved and enough life-force or prana is present it becomes possible to see into the astral and project whilst wide awake.

I may use this thread to post some more pro-tips later on, in the meantime feel free to discuss and share any tips of your own.

I feel reluctant to make a first-post in such an important thread but Dao urges me to do so anyway,
for i kind of know what you are talking about here. But i have never been able to AP at will.
I am close tho, but i don't want to make this thread about me. I have some questions that might reveal more

First of all, you say "Be aware of your astral body" what do you mean by this? What is an astral body? From the wikipedia, is it really attached to a silver chord?

And, what do i do once i become aware of my astral body.

It seems self-evident, i breathe. Circulate Qi around my body and propell from the Crown Chakra.

But is this really the case? Does this happen for you?

And lastly, (I feel like i'm really dissecting your entire post here but it comes from a great hunger/need for understanding these concepts)
How does it feel to see into the astral whilst wide awake? Does it come with any side-effects? And what is the benefit of projecting at will, just like that?

I hope my questions will favor in benefit of myself and the people reading this forum,
if not. im sure it's just a bug in the system

Unfortunately the English language is not very useful in describing spiritual concepts, people often get hung up on terms. Spirituality is generally more non-verbal and difficult to express verbally regardless of the language being used. That said, I will try my best to put it into words.

What I mean by become aware of your astral body is become aware of your spirit or energy body. If you practice circulating Qi then you should be very good at this, Qi is also know as Chi which is also known as Prana, they are essentially all words to describe the same thing: life-force, spiritual essence or divine power. The astral body is more like a mental projection of the spiritual self consisting of energy.

There is no need to propel through the crown chakra or have a tangling cord, if you see a cord it's more likely there because you expected it to be there, and this is the psycho-spiritual aspect of the astral realm where your mind projects through your spirit. Just become aware of your astral body or Qi/Chi/Prana body (life-energy body) and move into that body, switch the mode of operation and take control of that body putting your physical one in parking mode.

I have yet to experience that but have heard stories, I often perceive it as a feeling sense though. The main downfall is that it requires enormous amounts of energy which is difficult to achieve (but not impossible), and makes your physical body weak. Some of the stories date back to the times of Merlin who did it regularly. The main advantage would be personal power and knowledge, a working understanding based on practical first-hand experience. The long term goal is more along the lines of ascension, transformation of ones self into higher or greater levels of existence.

Hey sleephoax, thanks for the necrolike from 2013 wow! also, why can't I click your name you seem to have no profile?

Unfortunately, I don't have many other pro-tips to add to this thread, other than telling people the astral world is the same place we cross over to when we die. So it would be wise to master lucid dreaming and astral projection, so you can realize you are dead when you have passed on, and be better able to navigate that world and defend yourself while over there.

I understand it as a remote viewing experience and the only bad side effect is freaking out over what is seen or learned which ends the session. Practicing RV, I think, helps develop stronger ESP. Just avoid alcohol or drugs that can muck up your head.

If it wasn't for that like and your reply, I would have never found this empty thread.
I haven't contemplated the astral world being the same place we cross over to when we die, rather just another dimension of this one because of how I got there several times and was warned if I ever tried that path again, it would be my last and I would be banned from entry forever. Thanks Eonnn, your post just helped me understand something I've been trying to figure out for years.

Their profile is not approved yet by an admin. I already let an Admin know. They are the ones who would have control over who is let in. They do this so they can slow down the spam-bots, Alts, or potential troublemakers that may be lurking under the surface. Unfortunately, this can be a waiting process. They must be busy.

      Back on topic.
