Anyone heard of these kids. There believed to have special powers, gifts from god, and they have a trippy indigo glow around them.

Example, remember the "other potentials" when Neo goes to visit the Oracle in the Matrix? ->"There is no spoon" - Spoonboy

If memory serves, spoonkid was a fictional character in a fictional story about a fictional world where fictional things happened.

Mark75, what are you even doing in this forum? The Matrix was based on various philosophies, and religious doctrines, including, christianity, budhism, hinduism, and so on all the way up the ladder. If your mind is too narrow to see the symbology in the trilogy, then maybe you just need to return to kindergarden eh?

They mentioned the Indigo Children in the book "The Holographic Universe," which, Neo, I'd recommend you read. Great book. Anyway, that was the first time I've heard of him, but here is the wiki-link.

I don't know about Indigo Children, I was a Yellow Child. I had jaundice.

I did, really, but seriously there was a program on UK TV a while ago about these 2 Indigo Children. They seemed a bit weird but who knows, it's hard to prove something like that.

I found the link.

I came here to learn about lucid dreaming, obviously. "philosophies, and religious doctrines, including, christianity, budhism, hinduism, and so on all the way up the ladder" have nothing to do with such, it's merely incidental that they are discussed here. I chose to exercise my ability to discuss such by offering my view point.

For the slow, the purpose of my post was to highlight the fact that citing a FICTIONAL character was hardly a compelling example.

Secondly, it's just a movie. Get over it. It's not really that deep. Granted, I've only seen the first two, but they're really nothing spectacular. I won't go further into that because that's not what this topic is about.

Now if you're so adversely opposed to reading what other people have to say, I'd ask you; Why are YOU are on this forum?

I think I saw something about it on this show that was on a while ago called "My childs psychic." All the stuff about children saving our world just doesn't seem like something I would believe in.

I believe in people who can see "more" then the average person, but not children saving the world. If that happened, school would cease to exist, along with brocoli and split pea soup.

Is the world in need to be saved by some indigo children? The world isn't bad itself as opposed to its inhabitants, mainly human beings.
I'm tired being sorry.

I am an Indigo adult. The indigos first starting arriving in the 60's. With a few of them testing out the world. Then the "first" wave started to come in during the late 70's this is what I was a part of. The Crystal children have been arriving since the 90's. They are descendents from the Lumerian race. I had a feeling that I was always different from those around me. It gave me alot of problems when I was younger, so I turned to drugs and alcohol because I didn't know what was going on inside me. Now that I have become sober I having been investigating alot of spiritual matters. There are more indigos waking up everyday and it is going to change the consciousnis of the world in the next few years. If you want some good info on Indigos check at these websites

i guess anything is possible.

i'm not sure about the trippy aura around um though. i don't think that would be possible. probably an optical illusion or something.

WOW....

If this isn't the biggest load of bull I ever read....

Are you always searching for your greater purpose in life but feel like the world isn't set up for your kind?

Do you sometimes feel wise beyond your years?

Do you have trouble conforming to the ways of society?

Do you feel out of place in today's world?

Do you perceive the world very differently than most people around you?

Do you have strong intuition about certain things that most others do not?

Do you often feel misunderstood when you try to talk to people about what's real?

Are you a truth seeker?

Do you feel like you were born to accomplish a special mission in life?

Do you feel isolated and alone in your beliefs?

Misunderstood by family?

Do you feel anti-social unless you are with people of like mind?

Are you emotionally sensitive?

Did you have a difficult childhood?

Do you often feel disempowered by too much authority?

[/b]
From what internet has told me, two parents gave people this idea of Indigo Children. Sounds to me like they hit up the hooka a bit to much and made up a reason for why their child is being ostrisised... From this list I got from the first website jojobtrflygrn posted, it looks like an indigo child is an anti-social kid. I am pretty anti-social, i'll admit, and I don't like how society does things. Oh, that must mean I am divine and have powers others don't. Hey, while your at it, why don't you all worship me? huh? Man, going against the Bible and the one true God sure is fun, isn't it. This is all a way to make anti-social kids think they are special. you new age hippies make me sick...

moosleyman,
I thought the purpose of this forum was to be able to post about one's belief even when others on DV do not beleive them.(Go read the rules of this forum and be courteous) I would just like you to know that I also believe in the Bible and in Jesus Christ. It is a historical text of a man who was able to connect with the higher powers in life and accomplish great things. I believe that we were all created in his image which makes us all divine. You are already one step closer to enlightenment like him; by being able to consciously dream. If you were to use this power to explore the astral realm you would learn many things about yourself and about the world. The "New Age" is quickly approaching, we as a human race will either start de-evolving or we can start listening to the higher powers and reach our full potenical as a race.

I read the symtoms of Indigo children on wiki like this one, "They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially."

Waaait a minute....this sounds all too much like an INFJ personality type. I just took the test a few days ago. This whole idea about "Indigo Children" isn't supernatural > it's very NATURAL but it's rare.

They seem mysterious and special because most people don't come across those personality type often...and when they do they often find them inspiring and what not because they think differently.....they approch things in life at different angles because they are able to think very abstractly. I think 1% of the population holds this INFJ type personality....and with a touch of ausbergers and ADHD I think you have this so called "indigo child." Very lonely life, and have very conflicting inner and outter personalites. They have a reeeallly hard time fitting in school because they can't connect with much people...unless one feels compelled to help them. (They rather be friends with the underdogs and types like that. ) Some famous INFJ types are, Ghandhi, Carl Jung, Thomas Jefferson, Jimmy Carter, Sigmund Frued, Chaucer, Mel Gibson, Martin Luther King...http://www.theintrovertzcoach.com/famous_INFJ.html

Secondly, I think the whole royalty thing is based on being able to relate with royalty and the awe of being influential, and being able to have so much power to do good things. It fits their personality type veeery well. Royalty are often isolated and often lonely but they do much to help people and as long as they have that power to help everything is okay because your life has more meaning. (if that makes any sense)

Also........from wiki
They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it).
They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others do not share that.
Self-worth is not a big issue; they often tell the parents "who they are."
They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and do not require creative thought.
They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (non-conforming to any system).
They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.
They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did").
They are not shy in letting it be known what they need.
Have strong self esteem, connection to source
Have an obvious sense of self
Refuse to follow orders or directions
Get bored rather easily with assigned tasks
Are rather creative
Display strong intuition
Have strong empathy for others or NO empathy
Develop abstract thinking very young
Are gifted and/or talented, highly intelligent Are often identified or suspected of having ADHD
Are frequent daydreamers
Have very old, deep, wise looking eyes

Doesn't that sound like Mel Gibson too? HAHA HE's and INDIGO MAN!! But yeah....a lot of the symptoms sounds like INFJ. Myers Briggs.
