They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it). - Yep
They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others do not share that. - Yep
Self-worth is not a big issue; they often tell the parents "who they are." - Yep
They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice). - Yep
They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them. - peeing while sitting down is lame for this guy
They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and do not require creative thought. - i hate video games
They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (non-conforming to any system). - Yep
They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially. - Yep
They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did"). - Yep
They are not shy in letting it be known what they need. - not me at all
Have strong self esteem, connection to source - nope
Have an obvious sense of self - Yep
Refuse to follow orders or directions - Yep
Get bored rather easily with assigned tasks - Yep
Are rather creative - Yep
Display strong intuition - Yep
Have strong empathy for others or NO empathy - What's empathy?
Develop abstract thinking very young - Yep
Are gifted and/or talented, highly intelligent Are often identified or suspected of having ADHD - Yep
Are frequent daydreamers - Hell yeah
Have very old, deep, wise looking eyes - Yep

Does this mean I'm indigo from some lame ass tribe? i think not. these descriptions are too vague and apply to ANYBODY at certain times in their life. i think it's a load of bull!

I don't really go by those...agreeably...lame ass descriptions. There really IS alot more to it than that. It's just something you know...or don't know. I can recognize another indigo child right when I meet them. Sometimes before.

Also, everyone has a right to believe whatever they want. And this forum is for people who believe such things. If you don't believe in Indigo Children...fine...but don't reply in this thread. Thanks.

Why not? Part of the title of the thread includes "Anyone believe in these kids?", why shouldn't we be allowed to post and say 'no'? There isn't much room for discussion if you eliminate other viewpoints. Otherwise we might as well just all be talking to ourselves. Personally, I don't come to a message board just to be agreed with.

Well yeah, discussion is fine. But keep in mind that the Beyond Dreaming forum is a safe forum for people who BELIEVE in such phenomena to talk openly about things without criticism from others who disbelieve. Check the rules. So I guess that's the point I was trying to make. If someone has sincere questions about it though, that's great.

Note that this particular forum is ONLY for members who BELIEVE in the aforementioned topics.[/b]
I see. You're absolutely right. I guess I won't be posting in this section any more. I'd just like to add that I find that a rather ridiculous rule, but alas it's not my forum.

I know what you mean, but if it wasn't like that people would just argue whether or not these phenomena exist, when the people posting here just want to discuss the phenomena themselves because they already believe they do exist, that's not an issue for them. Plus, some people just plain attack people who believe in different things and that's not on.

But isn't that a valid, relevant topic for discussion? In fact, was that not the purpose of this topic?

The subtitle of the topic reads:
Anyone believe in these kids?[/b]
I could see if people weren't looking specifically for a debate on its existence, but what about those that do seek that? It's not fair if they can post the question, but some are restricted from answering. It's intellectually compromising if only one side is able to be represented. It's so sad that people are so apparently frail that they cannot stand to have someone even suggest that they might be wrong about something without them throwing a fit.

In response to this ^^ - it's a fine line. Some people have a hard time disagreeing/debating in a way that doesn't belittle the other person and cause them to get defensive.

And Nina's right, this forum is for discussion of these topics, not debating them. Yes, you can disagree, but a majority of people insist on not only disagreeing, but also adding why it's stupid to believe (or not believe) a certain thing which causes agruments and hard feelings. So the bad apples ruin it for the bunch - sorry.

Okay - end of the off-topic discussion and back on track please.

I did a little more research. It's not just INFJ it's anybody that fall into the "INF" range in the myers briggs personality test. I found that somebody already did a poll, on personality types and so called,, "indigo children"...

http://www.childrenofthenewearth.com/forum...6d451d1320cbe4a

And...a lot of people fall into the INP range.

Here a place where you can find your personality type:
http://similarminds.com/jung.html

I seriously think indigo people are no more than a group of people with a certian personality type. There is nothing mystical about that.

This sounds too dumb to be true. It's too late for the world to be saved, we have already been destroyed.

My personality is ISTP. Just felt like saying it

Woah, and my personality is GRHEZH!!!
What does these things mean? :S
I don't want to put myself into a group, that I'm this personality type, so there's probably no way I could do much else, cause of my personality...
I stay with my thinking that I'm uniqe, as anyone else is

to turn back to on-topic: I don't know if Indigo children exist or not, but I'm 99.999% sure that it can't be decided if someone is Indigo children or not from a list of things that nicely fit for him.
Yeah many of those things fit for me, so I'm Indigo? NO
But I AM special

Even though I do believe in spiritual things... this... I just...

I don't believe in them.

It sounds like something that someone just pulled out of their ass one day.

Btw, I am INFP (only 4.4% of the population has that according to jung-type test) ... many people (pyschic readers) said that I'm a cystral person... and I have heard many things about indigo children...

I don't want to cause any conflicts, but I want to say that why do we want to label them? To make them special? Well, in my opinion, we all are special in our way... why should we label ourselves? You all are special already since you know how to have a lucid dream and/or know what lucid dream is all about.... not many people know it.

It was fun taking that test btw.. yall should take it and see... maybe you find something interesting about it. It even has my wanted career right. Haha!
even

Don't trust what you are seeing right now because you might be dreaming right now. Be LUCID! I repeat, be LUCID!

Not sure what I think (I'm always open to the weirdest stuff - makes life more interesting) but a lot of people have taken a lot of LSD, been to India, studied T'ai Chi etc, over the past 30 years. And anyone born to hippy parents is bound find it a little hard fitting in - but these people probably do have some valuable 'gifts' i.e. mainly in the form of ?holistic perspective, increased empathy, openmindedness etc... However IMO I don't think we can rely on any particular OTHER person(s) to 'save' us - we've all got to reduce our carbon emissions etc...

BTW:
27% of people who responded from this list had an INF(P/J) Myers-Briggs personality type (compared with 14% in the general pop. of the US.)
36% were INT(P/J)s (8% in general pop.)

If you'd like to add your Myers-Briggs results to the DV list please go here.

I've heard about Indigo children, doesnt that refer to the color of their auras?

If there are Indigo children, there is no way to know who is one. Being born after 1994 doesnt help, some Indigo are said to be born in the 80s as well. And many born in 1994 or after are not Indigo. In the long run however, whether or not they are real its none of our concern, not even the Indigo children will know that we refer to them by a funny term.

Can the Indigo children theoritically save the world? Of course, every next in line generation has that opportunity. And we can all see how much BABY BOOMERS messed it up for everyone.

Also a forum is sharing ideas. With this "no different opinions" policy, this is not a "sharing of ideas." It is more of... a reiteration of ideas.
