Last time i had an ouija board in my hands i was in 6th or 7th grade.. 3 or four years ago. And i wanted to see if the person infront of me who was also holding the.. device.. thingy was cheating? and i lifted my hands and she kept going. realizing what i had done, she freaked out b/c i had caught her. i think it may work better w/ just one person, b/c then you know you arent being cheated.

I believe in spirits and stuff but I dont think those boards work at all

I believe they work, depending on the person using them. If you believe it'll work then it will. If you don't then it won't. Just how I look at things.

But anyway, the first time I got on a ouija board, it was with my friend Bryan. The second we touched the planchette, the candle next to us flared up. Kinda spooked me out at first, but then I shook it off and thought it was just a coincidence. Then we went into my brothers room and used it, and his lamp fell off the dresser. Needless to say, we put it away for the night. lol

Well, we got bored and curious again one night and we used it, and nothing seemed to be working. Like it would move around in a circle, but only very slowly, and it started to frustrate me. I was starting to believe they didn't work and my friend was moving it, so I said a satanic chant into it from a Cradle of Filth song. The freaking thing started going crazy! It moved around in a big circle really really fast, and my friends hands flew off of it so I knew he wasn't doing it. When we got back on it, it moved in more circles, though not as fast. Then it slowly moved up the board and off of it, sliding accross the bed.

That was the last time I used one. Kinda wanna go at it again, they're pretty fun even if you don't believe in that sort of thing.

wow, are you serious, ChasingSafety? That's craziness!

My mom would never allow one in the house. I had the opportunity to use one in a graveyard on Halloween once, but I chickened out and graciously declined. I'd rather not accidentally open any doors or something...

I never experienced them first-hand, but I have heard it by my religious friend that it was evil. She said that it started moving on itself and the whole family freaked out... enough to instantly throw it in the garbage can. She told me not EVER try it again since it was pure evil.

And believe me, she's a skeptic person since she's religious. She doesn't believe that spirits communicate through those mediums and such, but after this, she never questioned this game again.

Pretty freaky for me to hear this from her so I say nothing about this.

I have heard from my online friend (she claims to be pyschic), that those board is dangerous because you're opening yourself to unknown beings and negative beings often use that because you're easily opened to them compared to other methods. So, if you believe in a such thing, then I advice this, "Be careful."

For my personal opinion, I cannot say much because I am skeptic about it, but as long as it doesn't hurt anybody or yourself, why stop yourself from having fun? Unfortunately, I will never plan on buying this board... not because I think it is evil, no. There's no a such thing about being evil! It is only because I believe I can communicate with spirits in a much more natural way compared to using a medium to communicate. Why do I need a medium if I believe I can already communicate in other way? No need to fix if there is already a solution to the problem.

I believe these things do work and that is why one should stay away from them. I do think they are evil and can have extreamly negative consiquences. If you're thinking of using one, please don't, it's not worth it.

Actually, that's not entirely true. They don't channel ghosts, that's for sure, but what they do channel is people's subconscious. I believe that Ouija boards make for good fun and an interesting look into a person's mind.

So, yeah. Don't worry about needing an exorcism (although I hope that isn't something you worry about anyway). Gateways to the realm of spirits and demons are not often mass produced by toy companies.

I have one myself and I've used it with different friends and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I don't think that they are evil though because I dont think its ghosts moving the planchette, but like Mark75 said, your subconscious mind. Even though the Ouija board is of simple design, it is a powerful tool in helping you learn. It lets you really focus your mind, like meditation does. To get any results from it though you have to have an open-mind, and be calm. I've heard a few times of people having bad experiences, but you can have bad experiences with anything if you think about it. If you use a Ouija board, obviously you don't want to be thinking negatively, as your results will be unfavorable. Anyways, I think Ouija boards are exciting and fun and if you use one, think positively and expect good results, and you will see them.

I was discussing ouija boards with one of my friends, and they said there were stories of people trying to throw away the boards, putting them in the trash outside ect, and they kept comming back. like you try to get rid of it, but it somehow ends up back in the house. i was told ouiga boards do make connections to spirits, BUT they connect to random spirits (you just get whoever answers your "ouija board call" so to speak). i'm not sure that you'd use a ouija board to contact certain family members, might wanna try some other magic type thing for that. but anyway, i dont think it would be a good idea to mess with ouija boards unless you know any psychic shielding against darker spirits.

like i said, i think it does have something to do with spirits. i think the shape of the triange, or some symbol, is what allows weird stuff to happen, or psychic connections to be made. but i wouldnt mess with it just to see if anything happens.

You know, it's funny you should say that. I seem to recall many years ago my cousin and sister using a barbie (or maybe it was a My Little Pony...) in place of a planchette to equally successful effect.

although i dont have a personal experience, my good friend had a pretty bad one.

she was with her friends over at someones house and they got hold of a board and started to channel its energies or whatever. im sure it all started out as like a fun thing. but soon after a while... all of a sudden the rooms lights that they were in went out, the blinds shut, and the door slammed and wouldnt open for about 5 minutes... yeah that freaked me out a lot when i heard it because i have seen or i think i have seen evil spirits and i know its real...

just my 2 sense
