I too plan on having an out of body experience one day. Whether or not a lucid dream can facilitate this phase of existence I'm not %100 sure, but it's funny to note that many lucid dreamers do report a false awakening, where they dream about waking up in the room where they're actually still asleep. I personally have probably had almost 100 false awakenings. If you need more info on astral projection check out |

From what I've read about astral projection, the jumping off point seem to be when you start to get intense vibrations in your body. The best lucid dreamers on this site experience those vibrations somewhat frequently. So there may very well be a link there. |
