This whole argument started because kingofclutch came here and said everyone who claims to go into other people's dreams are liars. And than he said that this forum was for people who believe in Lucid Dreams. Then, 27 came and showed that the BEYOND DREAMING part is EXACTLY for dream sharing OBE/AP and all those. I agree with 27. And, the name says it all, BEYOND DREAMING, how dumb you have to be to say that the forum is about Lucid Dreaming...

Now respond to that and the rest of my post (#40).
You have never responded to this. Does believing in shared dreaming make you an idiot?

You need a Port-O-Dream to get into others' dreams. This "dream detective" goes into spouses' dreams to catch cheating husbands. Talk about nonsense; but someone said life should be fun:

Sorry, I just would like to say one thing just before this thread goes back on topic.

How on earth do you know that Shared Dreaming isn't real? Have you seen any scientific papers? Have you had first hand experience? Are you a reasearcher? Is this just your natural bias?

How do you know that the earth isn't flat? How do you know we live on a geoid? Can you apply that to this?

Now, a quick question to the OP: if SD is real, don't you think that it might be dangerous?

      Yeah, I agree. Zappa rules.

Shared dreaming? Maybe. All you gotta do is experiment.

Some people claim to being able to go into other peoples dreams. The hardest part about these claims is proving them, because theres almost no way to prove 2 people had identical dreams, except for them to each tell a 3rd party seperately about the dream they had, and see if they match up.

My dad and sister both have said they shared a dream once, and I have no reason to not believe them.

I'd like to think its possible, but I've never actually done it. There was a Dream Sharing experiment going on here a while ago, you could reply to the topic if its still up, and see if anyone would be willing to undergo some trials with you.

This isn't in Sensless banter, so lets keep it out of Sensless banter.

Who knows. Sorry if what I said was a bit rude, but this thread had potential, and now it just seems ... lost. Not your fault, mind. I'm just saying we should try to restore the topic

Find yourself the book Mutual Dreaming by Linda Lane Magallón (New York: Pocketbooks, 1997). Linda spent 15 years researching the field and facilitating intentional co-dreaming projects. The book covers spontaneous and intentional mutual dreaming, and includes lucid and non-lucid examples. An appendix in the back of the book lists references and examples that can be found in other books.

I haven't managed to find this book anywhere yet, might try to order it someday.
