I had an interesting conversation with a DC last night that got me thinking. Please take all of this in the spirit it is offered -- open-minded discussion on all sides of the issue. |

i always think the things i say and do with people i know in dreams will extend to the real world. thats as far as it goes. i am always disapointed when i wake up from a dream im shooting people and loose the gun i was using. ya i remember stealing stuff from people and clutching them in my hands hoping they would be in my hands when i wake up. never happens. |

But, you see, you do change. After every dream, you've physically and psychologically changed. Neurons in your brain map themselves out in new ways, which persist when waking. That is the cryptic flower we get. |

I'm of the opinion that the best thing you can get from a dream is knowledge, or perhaps inner strength. If it is possible to take physical objects with you out of the dream world, there would have to be some strict rules about it to keep from interfering with the laws of physics. |

I agree with Vorquel that one retains inner strength and knowledge from every single dream whether you remember it or not. I think it goes deeper than that, I believe that our dream experiences assist our minds and souls in micro evolution, that is to say we change from day to day sometimes the changes are minor, sometimes the changes are revolutionary to our own personalities. I believe the point of your dream is that Jeeves was telling you that Alice gained significant knowledge and personal growth from her experience, and that we are all capable of this if we only take the time to try to learn. |

Spoiler for Lucidity Secrets:
This was that cult, and the prisoners said it had always existed and always would exist, hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world until the time when the great priest Cthulhu, from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh under the waters, should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.
In the dream I thought the "prize" Alice brought back was some kind of knowledge or unusual ability. I agree that dreams (especially lucid ones, because of the increased control they can offer) change our minds and beliefs. |
