because you let go and leave all your troubles behind. Think of nothing, let thoughts run through your head and most importantly, relax. |

It depends on if you are meditating to clear your mind, or meditating to solve a specific problem. |

This was that cult, and the prisoners said it had always existed and always would exist, hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world until the time when the great priest Cthulhu, from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh under the waters, should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.
IF YOU COMBINE YOUR WAKING RATIONAL ABILITIES WITH YOUR INFINITE POSSIBILITIES OF YOUR DREAMS YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING...

Buddha, the all time master of meditation claimed that true meditation is holding your attention on your breath, all the time during daily activities. Thats it. |

For me, meditation is usually sitting down and relaxing and then waiting for all the daily concerns / worries about school, homework, friends etcetera to go away. Usually after that I get into a conscious state that I don't remember much but a lot of time I will also have short day dreams / dreams. It's very relaxing but I can never get to that point of "no thoughts". I don't really see the point of it either... It's kind of nice when you mind drifts a way into random things that makes no sense in waking life. |

Surprised to see people share advise without knowing what kind of meditation the topic starter was doing and what for. |

Thats also true..There are many different forms. But the one I posted about is the method I most know about/most hear about. Its the method that is taught the most, too IMO (or at least a variation) |
|
So what's in it for you? You mentioned that you use it as aid in your spiritual\metaphysical practice. |
|
Any success? And how do you use meditation to help you in the field of psionics? |
|
The meditation in question, clearing the mind of thoughts, is the most basic of all meditation techniques. If you can't master this, you will have little luck with anything more advanced. |
