Many cultures had different concepts of how the world looked and was shaped. Some thought the universe was a solid block, strait down, and strait up, no outer space or anything of the kind, some thought it was a disc shape with two sides, others that it was a cylinder. Belief in a flat earth was just common among the uneducated. Durring the early middle ages or, "dark ages" priests, some of the only literate people in Europe were champions of theories of a round earth. If a commoner were to be told about these discoveries by the clergy, it would be more akin to an auto mechanic being told about advanced quantum mechanics. The uneducated one certainly wouldn't consider the knowledgeable one "retarded". So you can't just defend an belief with a statement like that. People who championed the concept of a round Earth, or a heliocentric universe had facts to back up what they were saying. You need those too or you can't convince anyone of anything.

Can you not critize acillis. Although this might seem silly to you? However, it is subjective. I could laugh at every thread in this forum, however I don't post threads bashing the person as there are forum rules. Stick to the rules, unless you want the rational people in this forum to post in your thread critizing you. Then what would you have another RS forum, where the atheist are the majority.
