Actually it's based on previous encounters;.

Just personally i find the statement "Reject common sense to make the impossible possible." to be very telling. It's a bit like saying "ignore the facts, then you can delude yourself about anything you want".

Which is maybe not the best direction to head in.

Personally i think any strong belief should hold up to a bit of scrutiny.
Any belief that needs someone to nanny it, to avoid difficult questions, is clearly one that cannot stand up on its own merits.

Every time someone mentions conduction scientific experiments, everyone jumps in and points out the "flaws" in the methodology. There is no experiment that will satisfy everyone in these matter. Some jackass is always going to find something to quibble about.

If buddy isn't going to conduct these experiments, perhaps we should have an official DV psychic experimentation trial?

You can't disprove or prove everything.. I can see auras for example, while other people can't. Most people do feel auras actually, but they think it's just their imagination. How do you provide emperical evidence to a blind man? Sure it's fun to discuss it on the internet, but in real life nobody will believe this and it's better to shut up about it and just use it your advantage.. in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Not necessarily. I read a story once about a guy getting trapped in some parallel world or something where all the other inhabitants just had faint follows in their faces in place of eyes, and he got captured and totally pwned by them. Just something I thought about!
