Share dreams with a non-lucid dreamer

I thought this would be a cool idea. I'd like to attempt to share a dream with people I know who have no idea the whole topic even exists.

      Now that sounds wrong but..

I don't wish to harm them or change their dream, just watch from a distance and maybe ask them what they dreamed.

      It sounds cool.

That's a unique take on shared dreaming... invasion of someone else's dream. It's worth a try for sure! Cool idea Jar!

      Maybe you should ask permission.

Thats a great idea. Exactly that happened with me and my cousin a little while ago. I DID scare him, though.
But I guess we all want to keep our privacy, because dreams certainly are something to be kept private and only told when the dreamer himself wishes. Who knows? It might be embarrassing for the victim.

      Edit : I got ninja-ed??? O_O

Summon him/her, or teleport to where you think your............uh, "target" is.
      That worked with me.

Hmm.. I'm going to have to ask her about recurring dreams then. I know where should would be sleeping (lol.) but not dreaming.

I'll try having a DC summon her. Last night I had my brother make a portal while I was turned around getting water from the fridge. I turn back around and he had mustered a nice blue portal to her house. :p

What about somebody you know, but aren't in contact with?

I know them, I will not be in contact other than facebook with for a few months, does that count? :p

I have permission and now I just need to know how to find somebody without a predestined spot.

      I think you misinterpreted me.
I meant, as a personal question, if you know somebody, but only communicate with that person once or twice a year, and therefore can't really ask permission because you can't get in contact. I've been wondering if that was possible since I first heard of shared dreaming. (And this is half a personal situation, half curiosity.)
Also, I think predestined is the wrong word in your case. I think you meant predetermined.

Yes, predetermined. I'm looking for ways as to seek them out, as the tutorials only show mutual attempts.

I think you're still misinterpreting me.
Let me try to clarify this again. I'm trying to say that, if I have a friend living in, say, California (I live on Long Island, NY, which is about as far away as you can get from California and still be in the US, other than Hawaii), and that friend doesn't have access to the internet (no phone number or street address, either). I only see this friend when I go to California, around once or twice a year. (and the last time was before I was seriously into SDing) Is it possible to share a dream with that friend, even though I can't possibly ask permission?

Apparently from what I've gathered, yes. Nomad suggested we ask permission as I do think he believes dreams are that personal and they can be invaded. I have no opinion on shared dreaming but I do believe dreams are personal.

I don't have enough to believe or disbelieve it. Either way worst comes to worst I just have a regular dream! lmao

This kind of sounds like the idea behind the movie Inception, only that seems slightly more sinister. Something like invading and stealing people's dreams and ideas.

ok last night i had a shared dream with my cousin i was on a bus realized i was dreaming (still cant get over how real it all feels) well... when we got out of the bus van thing we where going shopping and i looked at the door and said "man... i reallllyyy wish lizzys in here...." then i looked at the stupid version of my cousin lizzy and said "the real lizzy that is" and walked in the door. when i went in the people i was with befor where gone and i was in lizzys dream. i said that i wanted 2 see her in infont of the door because i rememberd that they said if you want somthing in a dream find a door and expect it 2 be behind it and they said it helps if you saywhat u want befor you go in it when i saw her i told her that she was dreaming. of course she didnt belive me. i tried to reason with her. then she woke up and that woke me up. then i told her about "my" dream and scared the shit outta her. so jist say who you wanna see infrount of the door and expect them 2 be there.

I have kind of thought of the same thing jarrhead. I have a few friends that like to talk about the weird dreams that they have, and I think it would be interesting if I could try to share a dream with them (without them knowing) and see if they talk about it and if it corresponds with mine.
      Lolwut.

I could try to share a dream with my best friend. We don't have much contact because we're roughly 5000 miles apart. The downside is that i won't be able to ask him what he dreamt about.

Exactly hgld. As soon as I am ungrounded (shh im not on here. ) I will begin asking her each day. She was in a dream last night and seemed very sad. Funny I look on her facebook and see a sad status from the night before. Most likely coincidence but I will ask her about her dreams every day.

uh jarr, aren't you a little bit old to be grounded?

I got a weird experience to share. I did this "experiment" with one of my classmates yesterday.
She is new to LDing, but she has really good recall and good clarity. But she doesn't look online stuff, because I can tutor her, and she doesn't have a computer right now anyways.
So one day she comes up and tells me about a dream she had about me, in which I was a vampire, and was battling with a weird guy with horns and wings. Indeed, the whole dream sounded VERY familiar to one I had recently. Note that I am close to her, and have known her since I was a kid, so it COULD have been a shared dream.
Just to test an idea I had, I told her to "not play with the subconscious" and that, I would be "forced to invade her dreams". I knew she was the brave type, and she replied, as expected, that she was not scared to "play with the subconscious" and she would continue doing that, regardless of the consequences.
So yesterday, I had a dream where I saw her sitting on a table, looking excited. I went to her, in the dream, and told her, "This is a dream! Get lucid!". But all she did was continue looking at me in surprise. Eventually, I gave her up as a DC and continued my dream.
The weird part comes here. When I woke up, I saw I had a text message, in which she told me that she had a dream where she was sitting on a table, unable to get free, and I was the one who had captured her. She told me that I was saying "I told you not to play with the subconscious." or something, and eventually, she woke up.
I am guessing that by planting an idea in her mind, AND warning her NOT to do so, her brain made a mental note of it, and that came up in her dreams. It seems like external MILD or something, but the point is that, we can manipulate to an extent what someone dreams. And since I told her that I would be "forced to come into her dreams", she really BELIEVED that, and I was made to come into her dreams.
Two points to be noted here.
      1) Using external suggestion, we can make a person have a dream about a particular thing, by putting EMPHASIS on it. I did that by telling her it was "dangerous", which stuck in her mind.
      2) A non-LDer can "drag" another non-LDer or in this case, an LDer, to his own dreams, if he BELIEVES that the person in question WILL come into his dreams.

This really was a weird experience. Oh and by the way, I did apologize to her and told her all about the experiment, and properly explained the whole "believing it's true" stuff. It cost me a few punches and a kick (she is my karate partner. ) but she no longer is affected in a negative way due to my making her belive. True, the subconscious IS a powerful thing, and we are just beginning to understand it.
Wonder what you guys make of this?
'The petals dance through the wind,
The crimson blood shimmers on the snow,
The shattered heart weeps of hidden sorrow.
And over a pure white sky,
      rises a black moon.'
