I've smoked 50x salvia some. Some of it was scary as hell, but still awesome overall. Unfortunately, my experience with salvia came before I was really into spirituality.

I tried salvia from a headshop near my house (5x and 10x) but all I really felt was light and kind of spacey. So I ordered 60x from a nice website thinking it would give me slightly better visuals - maybe resemble acid - it gave me the most profound and intense trip of my entire life.

You mentioned something about fears and letting go, would that be like in SP when many people are afraid?

yep i think its pretty much the same thing. all your fears running through your mind until you realise thats its you who is creating those fears through your attachment to your false ego based sense of self. unfortunately i cant help on how to let go though because with salvia you often dont even remember you have taken anything

strange, i don't ever get scared when I experience SP, nothing really scary ever happens. I just feel completely at peace and "go with the flow" as I've only remembered experiencing it upon waking. It's quite relaxing actually. Do you think I'd be more apprehensive if I took Salvia however. Maybe those were just isolated cases.

i guess some people are just more sensitive to alot of the negative cultural programming and still have work to do to release those fears. i think chancs are if your ok with sp then you would have a better time with salvia, however if your already an experienced lucid dreamer or especially wilder then there probably isnt that much point in it. sp has been less fearful for me on awakening too but i suppose thats because we are already in a dreamy mood . the implications of being able to go straight from being awake, to consciously projecting straight into a lucid dream however are still a bit too strong for my little mind to handle. it is an immense talent if you ask me and i guess it just takes a while to get to grips with the fact that you wont completely lose touch with reality. with salvia it always feels like if i let go completely, i wont be coming back any time soon if ever. it just feels like the normal world is shutting down and is not important any more, which can be a great thing if you are ready but terrifying if you are not

I suppose I know what you mean. In some WILD attempts I feel as though I'm being pulled by some force and that I'm traveling extremely fast. Yet I'm aware that I'm just in my bed. The more I focus on the fact that I'm not going anymore the more connected with reality I feel and I lose touch with the sensation before it disappears forever. I have tried multiple times to become lucid this way but to no avail. I have felt the shift come and go in seconds as I lose hearing of the physical world for just a second before it returns to me. I always become aware that I can't hear anymore and instantly cling to the normal world as I call it. However, this is all instinct for me because I put no conscious thought into waking up. It's confusing, but I do fear losing grips with reality, I think it's only human. However if you change the sense of reality to mean more than just what is physical, I think it makes accepting these changes in our normal reality to be easier.
