      Such a weird dream.
I really don't understand why your brain created this scenario!

My main method of trying to induce LDs is WBTB - its the first method that ever worked for me (after trying 8months with DILD with no success). I find it very useful, and as I tend to wake naturally once (or more) a night anyway it suits me. I've stopped staying awake for extended periods, now, though because I leave myself too tired for work etc. So I might not be being as successful as I might be. But that said, I still find that even a couple of minutes of being awake (and thinking about something difficult) before going back to bed leads to success sometimes.

I also use WILD, with limited success (and a very different 'tone' and 'flavour' to dream experiences), and now, yes, DEILD

Now that's cool! It's more like you experienced a DEILD but without the brief waking.

I like WBTB. Have you had much practice with it? Is it working?

Cheers NyxCC - yes, self-exploration is worthwhile in itself

Hi pog, I've had no success with WILD so far, but I will keep trying when I am in a WILD mood. In the meantime, I decided to practice some basic relaxation techniques and also try to notice any sensations when falling asleep. I also try to keep a good record of my dreams.
The more I do these things, the more often some memories from the past begin to emerge - either when I am relaxing in bed or during the day. Those are just brief flashes, and I'm like "How did I forget this thing, I liked it so much when I was a kid". I find it quite pleasant. Not sure if it's the relaxation or dream recall or what exactly but I think it helps me progress. Where to? I don't know! Just keep exploring

Fear itself is a huge dream sign for many people. I used it myself to start lucid dreaming as a kid, I've also had nightmares about bears ever since I was a kid but somehow they've never made me realise I'm dreaming...
