    1. Broken Game in the Freezer

by , 08-21-2012 at 01:52 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
In the first dream, I was on a snowy mountain with my family. There was one gap that we had to jump across. My brother tried to jump across. I thought he was going to fall, but he didn't. I decided I wanted to go back anyway because I didn't want to have to jump across.

In the second, there was a little boy who was crying. He looked to be around eight or nine years old. I was trying to comfort him. I can't remember why he was upset, though. There were a bunch of other people around, and we were all trying to cheer him up. I don't remember what they were saying.

In my third dream from last night, I was playing Petz 5. I could tell almost right away that things were wrong. First of all, when I started the game, it was outside the Adoption Center with several dogs running around and deep snow on the ground. This isn't what seemed wrong, though, even though adopted pets can't come out at the Adoption Center and there is only ever snow on the ground in the Snow Scene (however, this I assumed was because it was winter, so everywhere outdoors should be snow-covered).

I looked through the list of pets and saw several weird names I didn't recognize. I thought that was weird but figured maybe it was because one of my dogs had had puppies since last time I'd played. I clicked on one of the puppies, and, sure enough, the scene changed to the Nursery, and the puppies all came out with the... father? I thought this was odd, since only mothers and their offspring are allowed in the Nursery, and especially since I didn't even recognize the name of the father, Luminoso, a black dog.

When I checked the list of playscenes, I could tell that something was definitely wrong. There were some I didn't recognize. I clicked on the one above the Backyard with a long, weird name. It looked similar to the Backyard, yet slightly different. I then went to the Backyard, which was now very different. I realized that the other playscene must have been the Garden (which doesn't exist in-game IWL). Suddenly, a dragon rose out of the sky!

Fearing I may have to uninstall and re-install my game, I went to the Petz website, hoping to find an easy fix. It was around this point that I noticed the computer screen was on the freezer door, in place of the ice dispenser, which seemed... perfectly normal, of course.

Anyway, I couldn't find the solution on their website, so I decided to check Google, just in case, but I woke up before I could, thankful that my game still works normally!
    2. Thruway (and three others)

by , 07-18-2012 at 04:13 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
I remembered four more dreams last night. I don't really remember the order of these (save for the last one), but I'll try to put them in the order I think they happened in.

      1. I don't really remember how this one started. There were some bad guys or something. They were trying to escape from this place where they were trapped, I think. I was watching this in third-person, by the way. They made some sort of homemade flying machine (a chair with a propeller, or something like that) and escaped, so they were in the air. They were flying alongside two zeppelins; if I remember correctly, they'd actually ejected out of one of them.

I'm pretty sure the zeppelins appeared because, yesterday evening, I went to see a concert IRL, and the guy playing (a local musician, my dad knows him somehow) did play a couple of Led Zeppelin songs... two, to be specific, which I'm sure corresponds to the two zeppelins that appeared in the dream.

      2. I was at the library for the teen writing group (which I do attend IRL). For some reason, though, we were going to be singing instead of writing. When I saw the sheet music, I recognized the song as Largo, and I hoped I would be assigned the Soprano II part.

      3. I was in my room with my friend Giana, showing her this online flash game on the computer. I told her it was kind of like the Super Smash Bros. games but in the water (i.e., you fight in the water, and whoever gets knocked out of the water loses). I started the game and realized I was kind of right; it was like Super Smash Bros., but you couldn't get out of the water once you fell in, so the fight would gradually shift to be in the water.

(After this, I woke up, but fell asleep after a little while and had another dream.)

      4. This dream really stands out for some reason. There were several of us, and we needed to get onto the Thruway for some reason. We didn't have a car, by the way. There were four lanes, but only one was open to us; the other three had traffic going the other way. For some reason, we couldn't all go together, so we had to figure out how to get through. We decided that four of the others would walk together. That left two of us - me and some girl I apparently knew somehow. She got on a motorcycle, and I knew I was supposed to follow her. I got on the motorcycle I apparently had with me and followed her. Even though I didn't know how to ride a motorcycle, it was surprisingly easy.

When we left the Thruway, we ended up at a cemetery. It was supposedly the cemetery where my granddad was buried, though it looked a lot different than it does IRL (and it was evidently in a different location, as I don't remember somehow ending up in England...). Suddenly, it got cold and windy and started raining; fortunately, I had an umbrella with me. Then, it started getting dark. It got dark quickly, to the point where it was pitch black and I couldn't see a thing. Once it was dark enough that I couldn't see anymore, I woke up.

I wish I could remember who that girl was. She seemed important somehow. I may be wrong here, but I think it's possible I met my dream guide last night. I can hardly remember what she looked like, though - I'm terrible at recalling the appearance of DCs, unless they're either somebody I know IRL or characters I'm familiar with.
    3. More Fragments

by , 07-14-2012 at 02:44 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
When I woke up, I couldn't remember any dreams from last night. After a few minutes or so, I started to vaguely remember a couple fragments. It took me awhile, but I think I've managed to recall all that I can. I still can't remember any of them too clearly, but I'll write down what I can, and I'll try my best to keep them in order.

      1. This one I can remember fairly well. I was playing some sort of computer game. However, my field of vision was limited to what was on the screen (as if it were actually there in front of me rather than on a screen) - the only way video games ever seem to work properly in my dreams. It was one of those point-and-click adventure games. On the screen for the main area at the beginning, there were at least three different paths I could take. One led to an underground tunnel, one led to the basement (which was actually below the tunnel for some reason), and one, in the bottom-right corner of the screen, went to some kind of storage room or something.

I selected the tunnel, but I couldn't continue because it was too dark, so I went to the storage room to get a lantern, which I brought back to the tunnel and just... left it there. Then, I went to the basement instead. I encountered the same problem here - it was too dark. I went back to the storage room for another lantern, but there wasn't one. I checked my inventory screen in case I had one (or anything else I could use for some light), but all I had was some milk and some other stuff I can't remember. I went back to the basement anyway and found that there was an electric light already there, so I switched it on.

      2. My mom and I were in this little convenience store. I was hungry. We were waiting for my dad and my brother to arrive so we could have supper, since the store had like a mini-restaurant area where you could order pizza and ice cream. That closed at 8 PM, and the store didn't sell any other food (what kind of convenience store doesn't sell food?!), so, when my dad and brother finally arrived, we had to go find somewhere else to eat.

      3. My friend had a giant hotdog. It looked to be about two or three feet long. She offered to share it with me, since she didn't want to eat the whole thing, but I said I didn't want any of it.

      4. This one was actually fairly clear. For some reason, I had to go find a bunch of items, like a scavenger hunt. My brother did, too, but we weren't working together; we were doing it separately. My dad somehow knew what I was supposed to be finding, so he would help me by giving me hints. I remember having to get the Stone Mask (from the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask). For some reason, it was on the living room wall, as were a bunch of other masks. I couldn't reach it because it was too high up, so I stood on the arm of the chair and reached it from there. I wish I'd realized that this wouldn't have worked IRL - in the dream, the window was a few feet to the right of where it should be, and I think the chair was a bit to the left, but, in real life, I only would've been able to reach the window, not the wall. Anyway, I got it. Wearing the mask, I went onto the deck to show my dad. He waved at me, and I told him he wasn't supposed to be able to see me while I'm wearing the Stone Mask (in Majora's Mask, it actually does make the wearer invisible).
