    1. New Cameron

by , 07-01-2014 at 04:21 AM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
Hey guys, I still exist! I meant to write this dream down in the morning, but whatever. Better late than never, right?

The dream I remember best from last night took place in an airport. I'd arrived at an airport where I had to change planes to catch a flight back home. When I asked about catching my next flight, I was informed that the plane I needed to board next would be at an airport in New Cameron. I asked where that was, and the guy I asked showed it to me on a map - I was on that biggest main island of New Zealand, and New Cameron was a small island not too far off the mainland. I asked him how long it would take me to get from the airport to New Cameron, and he told me it would take about an hour, which was bad news for me because I had to board that flight in half an hour. I started desperately wondering if I could manage to get a different flight back home from the airport where I currently was and thought I'd have to call my parents and let them know I'd be coming home on a different flight.

I woke up and, out of curiosity, went online to look up New Cameron to see if it was a real place and found out that it does exist but not in the same exact location as in the dream - then I woke up and realized that I'd only looked it up in another dream.

I fell asleep again, and, in the next dream, I was a Pikachu with a human form, and I had to find books in an old library about using electric-type attacks. I don't remember that dream very well.

After that dream, I woke up for real, told my mom about the New Cameron dream, and went online to look up (for real this time) if New Cameron was an actual place in New Zealand. Turns out (unsurprisingly) it isn't; the closest I could find was a New Cameron Street in Australia.
    2. Lots of Fragments

Okay, here's what I remember from last night...

The first one I remember was at my house. In my room, in front of my TV, there was a box full of VHS tapes and DVDs. These were in the "library", so they would come and go as people "checked out" and "returned" them (people didn't actually come into my room; they would go to the library, where checking out a video would cause it to disappear from my room, while returning one would cause it to reappear).

One of the videos was The Minish Cap (a movie based off of the Zelda game, I'm guessing); I decided I'd come back for it later so I could watch it with my friend Lizz. It was on a VHS tape, by the way.

When I came back later (I can't remember any parts of the dream in between), it had been checked out already. However, it was available on DVD, but I didn't want that one because I wanted to watch it in my room (which doesn't really make sense, since I have a DVD player AND a VCR in my room, so either would work).

After waking up from that, I decided to attempt DEILD again. I was barely awake when I woke up, which I figured was good for DEILD. I decided I wanted to enter a Zelda-related dream, so I pictured the first Zelda-related thing I could think of: the Spirit Train. I probably could've come up with something better, like a specific location, but keep in mind that my mind was far from fully awake at the time.

Anyway, I quickly slipped into a dream, but, instead of a lucid dream, I entered a false lucid dream instead (i.e., I had control but didn't know I was dreaming). When I woke up from it, it actually took me a moment to actually figure out if that had been a dream or if I'd just imagined it while still partially awake (like in hypnagogia), but I concluded that it was definitely a dream because, although the actual memory of it was really fuzzy (making it harder to tell), I could definitely remember being able to see everything (as opposed to just knowing it's there without actually seeing it, like in daydreaming or visualization).

Anyway, shortly after entering the dream, the Spirit Train disappeared. I quickly concluded that it had disappeared because there were no tracks, so I made the Spirit Tracks appear and summoned the Spirit Train again. I did this by just wanting it to appear, which caused it to appear right before my eyes (I'm assuming this worked because I knew it was supposed to be there and had been there just moments before). The rest of the dream consisted of me making the Spirit Train reappear a few more times (since it kept disappearing) before waking up.

I had another dream last night, in which a bunch of girls were using my laptop to look at pictures of Martin Luther King, Jr. for some reason. I went outside to the backyard (my backyard). I could the local elementary school next door, which, for some reason, seemed perfectly normal. Anyway, there were these guys outside, and they used some weird handheld device to fire an electromagnetic pulse into the air, which caused a pulsating ball of light to appear in the sky.

I had one final dream, in which I was watching Doctor Who. The episode started with a dream that Amy Pond was having. It was rather surreal and... not like a dream. It would show an image of her against a white background, then switch to a quick scene from her dream (the background never changed, though), then back to the first image, then onto another dream, and so on. One of the scenes was the Doctor kissing her...

Anyway, shortly after she woke up, I woke up.
    3. Thruway (and three others)

I remembered four more dreams last night. I don't really remember the order of these (save for the last one), but I'll try to put them in the order I think they happened in.

      1. I don't really remember how this one started. There were some bad guys or something. They were trying to escape from this place where they were trapped, I think. I was watching this in third-person, by the way. They made some sort of homemade flying machine (a chair with a propeller, or something like that) and escaped, so they were in the air. They were flying alongside two zeppelins; if I remember correctly, they'd actually ejected out of one of them.

I'm pretty sure the zeppelins appeared because, yesterday evening, I went to see a concert IRL, and the guy playing (a local musician, my dad knows him somehow) did play a couple of Led Zeppelin songs... two, to be specific, which I'm sure corresponds to the two zeppelins that appeared in the dream.

      2. I was at the library for the teen writing group (which I do attend IRL). For some reason, though, we were going to be singing instead of writing. When I saw the sheet music, I recognized the song as Largo, and I hoped I would be assigned the Soprano II part.

      3. I was in my room with my friend Giana, showing her this online flash game on the computer. I told her it was kind of like the Super Smash Bros. games but in the water (i.e., you fight in the water, and whoever gets knocked out of the water loses). I started the game and realized I was kind of right; it was like Super Smash Bros., but you couldn't get out of the water once you fell in, so the fight would gradually shift to be in the water.

(After this, I woke up, but fell asleep after a little while and had another dream.)

      4. This dream really stands out for some reason. There were several of us, and we needed to get onto the Thruway for some reason. We didn't have a car, by the way. There were four lanes, but only one was open to us; the other three had traffic going the other way. For some reason, we couldn't all go together, so we had to figure out how to get through. We decided that four of the others would walk together. That left two of us - me and some girl I apparently knew somehow. She got on a motorcycle, and I knew I was supposed to follow her. I got on the motorcycle I apparently had with me and followed her. Even though I didn't know how to ride a motorcycle, it was surprisingly easy.

When we left the Thruway, we ended up at a cemetery. It was supposedly the cemetery where my granddad was buried, though it looked a lot different than it does IRL (and it was evidently in a different location, as I don't remember somehow ending up in England...). Suddenly, it got cold and windy and started raining; fortunately, I had an umbrella with me. Then, it started getting dark. It got dark quickly, to the point where it was pitch black and I couldn't see a thing. Once it was dark enough that I couldn't see anymore, I woke up.

I wish I could remember who that girl was. She seemed important somehow. I may be wrong here, but I think it's possible I met my dream guide last night. I can hardly remember what she looked like, though - I'm terrible at recalling the appearance of DCs, unless they're either somebody I know IRL or characters I'm familiar with.
