    1. Having to Share a Bed With an Ex (and His Girl), Yard Sale and "Boules", and Old Rooms/Injured Cat

      Dream - Lucid

I was having to share a bed with Katie S. and one of my exes, Ryan. I was really pissed about it. It was dark in the room and I felt the bed shaking. They were doing it! Are you kidding me?? I was also really pissed because they were together. They had just started dating. For some reason, it made me really mad. Plus, I thought Ryan was married? I thought about that and how his relationship must have ended. I didn't think about the details of what could have happened though.

I remember coming up to the bed at one point and seeing them in it together. I was really pissed at them.

There was more to this dream, but I can't recall it all.

There was this big yard/garage sale going on throughout the neighborhood. Dallas and I hadn't known about it, and even though we have a ton of stuff we need to get rid of (true IWL), we had no time to get it out, as it was already the afternoon. There were still people walking around and shopping however. I remember seeing this guy walking around in this indoor area with lots of empty shelves. I asked someone, my brother I believe, about how long the garage sale had been going on. He was telling me that some people were still holding theirs this late in the day.

I then was picking out these wads of paper and used coffee filters that were starting to get brown spots on them. They were on a table. They were called boules (pronounced boo-lays). They all had stuff in the middle of them, for example, the used coffee filters had coffee grounds in the middle. I picked them up one by one. I think I was going to sell them.

Someone, Dallas I think, then either threw or shot one of the boules off by this lady. The lady appeared to disappear! I then looked up for the moon in this small cloud break, even though it was daytime, and the moon was gone too! I then saw it starting to reappear. It was some property of the boules that made that happen. Nothing actually went away, it just appeared invisible. It was being explained to me, but I don't remember the details. I then had some loaded in this small double-sided cannon thing. I wanted to try the disappearing act! I shot the cannon, and two fired out, one from each side. One shot close to a lady. When it exploded, red dust came out of it. I don't think anything disappeared though.

We were then looking at a garage sale at furniture that was being sold. It was like walking through a furniture store. We saw all these ugly chairs, many were red, but I can't remember the colors of the rest. This part had something to do with Dallas's mom; I think the chairs had been hers. We then moved on to some couches and chair sets. There was one that was green, and every piece of furniture looked as if it had trees and plants broken out of the soil and growing in the middle of them. A cool art piece, but not practical. In fact, it was kind of ugly. We moved on past that set and onto another green set, though this set looked cheaper and not as artsy; there were no trees in this one. A young black man then stopped us and started trying to give away the furniture for free. I thought he was talking about the tree furniture, and I was afraid Dallas might take it when I DID NOT want it in our home, but he was also talking about the other green, cheap-looking furniture. I examined the green coffee table and saw that it converted into a small pool table. I told Dallas we could use that for a game room. He then asked me what the point of a game room was.

I was in the playroom of the house I grew up in. I was play fighting a friend. We were using fake lightsabers. It was a game that we had played with each other before. It had something to do with these rings we were wearing; we had to get the ring off the other person. We could also put on an extra ring, but hadn't done so before this game. I went over to this box and started looking through it for a ring that fit. All the rings looked like silver colored bolts. I tried many on, and they were too big. I couldn't find one that fit. Then, something happened that was part of the game that had something to do with me rolling up this, big, round, flat chicken patty thing in wax paper. I did it, which meant I won, but it didn't seem fair for some reason, maybe because my opponent wasn't ready yet or something. Either way, I didn't feel like it was fair.

I then was walking through what appeared to be a mixture of all my childhood homes. It was as big as this wooden house we lived in when I was 4-5 and had rooms similar the first house I remember living in. I was showing this guy around. He seemed to be a bit mentally challenged. I was approaching the room I had when I was very little. It was located on the same side of the house as the one in the first house I remember living in. Before I walked in, I realized I hadn't been in there since I was a little girl. I walked in and stopped dead. I just stared at everything, taking it all in. I felt so strange being in that room. My bed was in the right corner of the room. It seemed much bigger than the bed I used to have. It had a bedspread on it that was split into two different patterns right down the middle. The left side was hot pink and white, and the right was black with maybe some other colors in it, but I only remember black. I looked at all the furniture and stuff; most of the actual objects, like toys and stuff, had been moved out when we moved.

I then moved on to another room, by brother's old room. I announced that it was my brother's old room to the guy I was showing around. I then moved on to the room I had grown up in. It seemed much more comfortable and familiar than my first room, I suppose since I had spent more time in this one. It didn't look anything like any of my old rooms that I can remember. The same thing applied to the objects and stuff though; they had all been moved.

I then went back into my old room and the guy was there printing off labels. It was then like the room was the bakery/store where I work. He had printed a ton of labels. I hoped we needed them all and wouldn't have to go into the system and alter the inventory.

I then went and saw my cat. She was very hurt, but was running around like nothing was wrong. It looked as if she had been cut so deeply with something on her leg/side, that you could see her muscle, which looked like intestines. There was also a spot on her back where she was bleeding. She was very hurt! I figured maybe she got hurt when we were playing with the fake lightsabers. I thought about taking her to the vet, but it was Saturday. I then knew I needed to take her to the animal hospital instead. For some reason, I needed to go to the Dr. as well? Not sure about that part, it is vague in my memory.

I then let my mom know that I was going to take Belle (my cat) to the animal hospital. I don't remember if I talked to her on the phone or if I actually told her in person. We were then at the entrance to the animal hospital, we meaning my mom, my brother and I. I went to get Belle out, but her cage wasn't anywhere to be found. Shit, had I forgotten her? We opened the trunk and she wasn't in there either. I then thought about my mom being able to handle my cat (she is the only one who can besides me without getting growled at, hissed at, and bitten/scratched IWL), so she went back to get her. I stayed and walked into the animal hospital. Instead of an animal hospital, though, it was...a food court. What. The. Fuck. They turned the animal hospital into a damn food court! I then "remembered" the last time I was there, they had been remodeling the place. I "remembered" that they were going to make it into a food court. I walked out. I was so fucking angry! I tried to yell about it being a food court, but all that came out were whispers, no matter how much force I put behind my voice. I eventually got a yell or two out. I then started to punch the wall, but again, no matter how much force I put behind it, it was like I was only lightly tapping the wall. Over and over this happened. It was frustrating. I said to my mom, out loud,
"They turned an animal hospital into a FOOD COURT?! Why would they do that????"

I find the part where I entered my oldest room to be very intriguing because of the feeling that I had. I can't really explain it, it was a nostalgic/shock/feeling of awe. I'd definitely say there's something to that...

    2. Two Short Lucids, Dog Care Taking and Kohl's, and My Brother's Wedding

      by , 09-05-2014 at 03:13 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was waking up in my bedroom in the middle of the night. I saw that next to me there was no nightstand, and another bed close by. Definitely a dream; I have a nightstand. I got up out of bed and went to go try to phase through a long floor-to-ceiling window. Outside, I could see that it was actually a cloudy morning, not nighttime; I saw little slivers of light. I tried to go through the window, but instead of me going through it, it felt solid, and rose up out of its fixture and went outside with me. It looked kind of like a garage door would look like as it was opening. Wow, I bet this looked silly to my husband, who was in bed still.

Speaking of my husband, I could faintly hear his snoring coming from waking life, and woke up.

I went back to sleep, and was again aware that I was dreaming. I got up out of bed and went to try phasing again. I approached a wall. This time, I focused on simply phasing through. I don't know how else to put it, but really, that's all I had to do was think that "This wall isn't solid", basically. It worked, and I emerged in what looked like an alleyway at first with lots of dressers and chests of drawers of all different types and wood colors. They looked old. The wall in this alley was a soft olive green color with a black border on the top. Instead of an alleyway though, it started to feel more like a big room. I approached a dresser, and really started to focus on my surroundings, taking in the color and vowing to remember it. The dresser I approached had something attached to it that had lots of small drawers and doors, kind of like a jewelry box. I started to open some up to see what was inside. I wasn't finding anything. Some of the drawers and doors were to high for me to reach, so I decided to try to make myself taller. I thought to myself I would be taller, and I started to rise. It almost felt like I was levitating, not growing, but nonetheless, it worked! I opened a small door and saw what looked like a small shadow box with some figurines in it. I remember a miniature white teddy bear and some furniture, but nothing else.

Again, I started to hear my husband's snores, and I woke up.

The snores got so bad that I had to move to the other room to sleep more, so that's what I did.

I then was dreaming of something that had to do with these big dogs I had. It's really hard to explain because it seems very abstract and jumbled in my mind. I feel like the dog care taking was kind of video game-esque. I had to go get something for the dogs. I went to Kohl's to get it. I was going up to some registers that don't exist IWL. I didn't recognize any of the employees there. I wondered where David was; he's normally up there all the time. I then approached a desk, I suppose it was the service desk, but it was round and in the middle of the store. Two boys were at it, one that had curly hair. They said whatever I was doing would take 15 minutes. Alright, that's fine. I waited. I do not remember what I got or if I even got it.

At one point, I remember one of the dogs loving me a lot for something I did.

I was at my brother's wedding reception. Something about maybe Dallas and I's wedding too? It was in this place that had lots of pathways and slopes, kind of like a hiking trail. I remember seeing my brother and his fiance' after the ceremony. I also remember thinking to myself I guess they decided to get married early instead of in December.

I talked to a lady about some food there. I was helping to serve the food. She wanted white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. I went to grab her some out of this plastic container with drawers, but then realized that there was another container of fresher cookies nearby. I went to grab one. She was trying to grab one out of the drawer container. I asked if she wanted that one or the other one. I think she took one of each, or two of the old ones. I can't quite recall. My brother's fiance' got cookies as well, the old ones.

Then, I was talking to an older lady with short, straight hair about a hair stylist. She was telling me she had expected me to leave her the name of someone that I recommended in the city I live in, and I hadn't, and if I could please do so. I wanted to tell her it wasn't my responsibility to find her a hair stylist, but whatever, I wrote down the name of a girl that I used to work with at Kohl's who does hair.

Then, something about someone Dallas used to work with at his old job. It looked like the job, which resembled apartments or a beach resort, was overlooking a beach, but the "ocean", upon further inspection, was just a really long pond that would fill when it rained. I saw where the pond ended. Dallas was shushing me when I was talking about something to this person because of someone at that job, his boss or something, could hear me.

    3. The Origami Parrot, and Saving a Friend From Her Cheating Husband

      by , 08-01-2014 at 12:17 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was "remembering" a time when I was in high school, and I had a blue origami parrot. It very much so seemed real; it would move, though it would make no noise. I showed it to my friends. I was super happy having this paper bird. When I took it home, though, I could not find a place for him. He needed a cage, but I didn't have one. I'm not sure what happened to him.

I'm not sure where I was, it was a building in my town, but I wanted another origami parrot. I called up one of my friends, maybe Rachel, and asked her if she wanted to come with me to get one. I "remembered" I had gotten it at Animal City, a pet store here in town, though I wasn't 100% positive. Rachel was then with me, and I told her we were going to Animal City. We walked out of whatever building we were in, and Animal City was right next door. We walked inside.

We walked around inside Animal City. We saw what looked like a very large brown cat with flecks of different shades of brown playing on a cat tower (one of those carpeted towers cats use to climb/scratch/perch). Many people were around it. I figured it was the store's current mascot (IWL they always have some sort of mascot animal). I, being the cat lady that I am, went over to the cat. I was super excited to see the cat. The cat then turned around, and its face looked alien. I had no idea what kind of animal it was supposed to be, but it definitely wasn't a cat!

I then continued my search for the origami bird. I then came across a woman who had a small, green origami parrot. This is what I'd been looking for! The bird was perched on the lady's shoulder. I started to speak with her about the origami bird. She said something about it having poetry written underneath its wings. She unfolded one to reveal it. I did it myself as well, and had trouble getting the paper to fold back properly. I wondered if my old origami parrot had had poetry underneath its wings also.

I then saw that the bird only moved when the lady moved its tail. It was like an IWL origame swan; when you move its tail, the wings move. But she would do it very subtly to make it look like the bird was moving on its own. I did not remember doing this when I had my origami parrot. Maybe my memory was deceiving me. At any rate, the paper bird moving on its own was definitely an illusion. I wanted to believe that it wasn't, but it definitely was.

I don't remember if I got to have the bird or not.

I was with Dallas at my old friend Kacey's place. She lived in a different town, as she does IWL. We were watching her do some dance performance with a dance team. It was some interpretive type of dance. I saw people that I knew in high school also dancing with them, one being Mary Lane, but her hair was waaaaay longer than I had ever seen it IWL. I saw someone else too, a blonde girl, but I couldn't place her name. I called her something that started with an R. Kacey's husband, Rick, was somehow also involved with this dance.

When they finished, I talked to Kacey about Mary Lane being there. I also talked about the other girl, the blonde with the R name. Two girls, identical twins, then approached me. They had grey and pink in their hair. One I had mistaken for the blonde girl I knew in high school. I then realized I was wrong about the name of the blonde girl; I had no idea who these twins were.

Everyone but Kacey and her husband cleared out. We were all visiting in their living room. A boy, a child of about 5 or 6 who was supposed to be Kacey's son (she only has a daughter by marriage from Rick IWL, none of her own) came up to us. He seemed like a happy child. I saw him smile up at me with his teeth.

Then, where her son had been, was this big white bathtub full of milk and...dry cat food (I've dreamed of a bowl of cat food and milk once before, though I did not write it down). It was behind the couch. There was way more milk than cat food; I only saw some scattered pieces floating around. In the middle of the bathtub was a black and white kitten, who was drinking the milk and eating the cat food. She seemed super happy (what cat wouldn't be?). I then thought about how milk isn't good for cats, and how they would probably have to clean up cat diarrhea later.

I then woke up, but went back to sleep into the same dream.

The cat in the tub was now gone, and I was talking to Kacey in the living room. Dallas then came up to me, and told me he had heard Rick say he was going to cheat on Kacey! Kacey had not heard him tell me this; I think that Dallas whispered it to me, or Kacey was out of earshot. I really debated on whether or not I should tell Kacey, but she is one of my best friends, even though we barely talk anymore, and I owe this information to her; she deserves to know so she can decide what to do about it.

I then told Kacey about what I had heard. She was aware of the problem; he went and cheated on her all the time, and didn't think she knew. I then told her that if she wanted out, she always had a place with me. I would take her in for as long as she needed. She wasn't sure what to do, but I feel like I kind of pushed her to leave him. She finally agreed, and started throwing some of her things together. On my part, I felt that I may had been somewhat impulsive, but I would, of course, take her in no matter what she needed. I didn't want her to feel pushed though. But that feeling quickly faded, because I was finally going to get Kacey out of her horrible situation.

I then thought about her son, and whether or not she should take him. I couldn't remember for sure if the son was hers or Rick's. I guess I decided it didn't matter. I saw her get some things together, careful not to let Rick hear her, and we got into my car to drive to my place. I thought about us staying at my old apartment with Cherie', my old roommate, but realized that I had just turned my keys in (true IWL), so I couldn't just go in there anymore. So instead, I drove her to my parent's house. I had not told my parents prior to this that I was taking her in, but my mom loves her, so I figured it would be alright, and it was for a good cause as well. I did need to tell my mom, though. I went into the living room while Kacey stayed in the kitchen. I saw my mom wrapped up in a blanket, asleep on the couch. She was sick with a cold or something. I woke her to tell her about Kacey. I don't remember what she said. BUt I then figured out that my dad was cheating on my mom too. Wtf.

I then thought about how Rick knew where my house was, and so we should probably relocate, because he would absolutely suspect that we were here.

Back in the kitchen, I saw Kacey helping to fix up some dinner. As she poured frozen green beans into a pan with the entree', chicken probably, I thought that she looked like an expert the way she was putting the food together with confidence. It had something to do with the way she was pouring the veggies; she just looked like she knew what she was doing.

I then realized that we had left Dallas. Whoops. We had to go back and get him. We drove back, hoping Rick didn't notice our absence. We got there to get Dallas, and Rick had a backpack on. A guy friend was waiting for him with a backpack. It looked as if they were going camping. Rick had not even noticed we were gone. He said he'd be back in two days. I knew he was going to cheat on Kacey when he was gone. Further, if he cared for her at all, he would have noticed she disappeared without warning for awhile. His mind was obviously preoccupied.

At some point being back at Kacey's, I saw a bunch of sweat pants. I wondered if Kacey wanted to grab those to take with her.

When Rick was gone, Kacey and I went into town to investigate. We came across this building that had signs on the front window. It said "Cheat! Cheat! Cheat!". It was a lounge for men to go to to cheat on their wives (subtle advertisement, right?). I forgot what it was called. There were men going inside.

We then went into the lounge. Since it was daytime, not too many people were there yet, thank goodness. There were lots of big, circular and half-circle couches there. We went up to the counter, and two young men were there. We spoke with them, though I can't remember what it was about. They were acting like we didn't know where we were, trying to hide it and not doing a very good job at it; they were smiling and surpressing laughter as they spoke with us. They said something to us along the lines of there was no man that stayed faithful; all men cheated. When we decided we would leave, they said
"Thanks for visiting the ____lounge, I mean room." As if room made it sound less shady.

There were bits where Kacey and I talked about Rick cheating, and how she would approach him about running away from him. I don't remember if this was done in the dream or not. I don't think it was. During this whole dream, though, I felt very close to Kacey, closer than I have in years. I missed that, and still do IWL.

    4. A Brutal Murder, Being Berated, Cars and Spiderwebs, and a School Project

      by , 07-28-2014 at 03:59 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was at work, but it looked different. We were behind the counter. I was there with a couple of other people. There was one girl there who looked very tired. She had long, straight light brown hair and very tired eyes. She was probably about my age (25) or a bit younger. She needed a ride home from work. We got into my car. I was kind of tired too. The car was driving, but I noticed that I was sitting in the back seat with the tired eyed girl.
"I should probably be sitting in the front," I said to her. I stopped the car as we were going through this gate and got in the front seat.

Then, there was this lively old woman with us. She was quite energetic. She wanted us to drop her off on the side of the road so she could walk to her vehicle. We did just that. We got out though as well. We were walking on the sidewalk with this woman. She had a cane, but she wasn't using it. In fact, she started to jog! We couldn't keep up with her. We then were approaching her vehicle, or at least what we thought was her vehicle. It was a golf cart. It had a black bag with a big bow on it strapped over the seat. I thought she had been very trusting to leave that outside. Upon further examination, the golf cart had this HUGE control panel. It was so big, it took up the entire front window; you could not see out of it at all. I figured that maybe it drove itself. The old woman sat down in the seat, and was wondering how you worked it. I guess it hadn't been her vehicle, but a special vehicle that the public could use to get from place to place. There was a guy there that I assumed she was asking. We walked past her and the cart.

I dropped the tired girl off, but noticed something as I was driving. I noticed that the cart with the lady had not moved, but there were dead bodies strewn on the street by the car, about three or four of them. Holy crap, someone came and murdered them! I thought maybe a fight had broken out and gotten taken too far. I returned to the area where the cart was and saw what I had feared: The old woman was dead, along with a few others. I think I asked someone who was there if she was dead, and they said yes. I told them I had seen the scene from a distance. I started to cry.

Then, one of the people whom I thought was dead, a blonde guy who was probably in his twenties, opened his eyes. He looked like he was in so much pain. He said nothing, but his eyes told me everything. I was broken down crying now at this point, kneeling on the ground. I started to stroke the guy's knee to comfort him. I was so happy he was alive, but I still could not stop crying. It was then that I noticed that all the other people were literally torn apart; I saw someone's head detached from their body, an arm, and other torn apart body parts. The man with his eyes open in front of me was the only one who was not torn to shreds.

I was going to my friend Cherie's apartment. It was daytime outside and sunny. My husband may or may not have been with me, I can't quite remember. I think we had just gotten back from a vacation.

We got to the apartment. It was much different than IWL. It was more of a town home than an apartment, and was white and clean on the outside. There were many others that looked the exact same, as you would see in a town home community. I went inside, and Jeremiah and Cherie' were there in the living room. I went into the middle of the living room.

Then, I noticed Cortney D., a supervisor from my old job. She was standing behind the couch (at this point the apt looked a lot like my current one IWL). I "remembered" that she lived in the same complex as Cherie'. She had her hair pulled back into a small ponytail, and was wearing a black shirt with a colored shirt (can't remember the color) underneath; it looked like an outfit she would wear to work. I was excited to see her, because I always really liked her, but was afraid she would be mad at me because of the way I quit. I got her attention, and she said
"Krista." She walked up to me with a sense of urgency. She continued,
      "Why did you do that?!"
I tried to explain to her how awful that job was, how bad I felt we were all treated there, but she kept countering me, asking me what did I expect, it's retail. She then stormed out. I was sad that she was angry, and I kept thinking of other things I should have said, but none would have made her feel differently. I didn't understand how she could continue to settle for such a crappy job.

Other things happened after this. I remember leaving the apartment, but nothing else.

I was driving to my old college's campus in a new car. It was a dark grey sedan, and very nice-looking. I felt weird and tired. It was morning. I don't know why I was going there. There was some kind of big event taking place.

I parked in a gravel lot, and walked over to where the buildings were. I sat down on a bench underneath an overhang. I noticed that lots of college kids were walking around dressed up like it was Halloween. I saw people in knight costumes, and I think some Mortal Kombat costumes as well. I did not know what was going on.

I then realized that they were in the marching band, and today was the day that the college hosted Contest of Champions, a high school marching competition, and that they always performed a show at intermission in their Halloween costumes (this is true IWL). All the college kids then started to dance with each other. It was like they were a flash mob; they all just seemingly spontaneously started to couple off and dance. I knew that they had planned it.

I got up to go back to my car. I went into the field where the cars were. There were many, many more now. I clicked my clicker on my keys, and some tail lights light up, so I figured I had found my car. But then, another man, an older, heavier black gentlemen, got in the driver's side. Whoa, I thought, there must be some mistake. I opened the trunk to the car, which was actually more like a minivan than a sedan. Not my car after all. I felt embarrassed for trying to get into another person's car, though he did not say a word to me about it. I kept walking.

I kept on clicking my clicker, and I noticed that when I did, other cars' headlights would flash. What the hell? How was I ever going to find my car now?

I then was at an impasse, literally. I had approached a fenced in area. The fence was wooden and old, and actually relatively short. The only way I could get to the other side of the fence was to open up the old wooden gate. I then called an old friend, Tori, and asked her about the car, because I knew that she had had a car like mine. She said that hers had done that too, unlocking other people's cars instead of hers. When I got off the phone with her, I went to go open the gate, but it was covered in spiderwebs! I could not get a hold on it without touching one. I saw the webs up close, and noticed that lots of ants had gotten caught in the web. I saw one get caught in it towards the top of the fence. Ugh. So gross...I hate spiders. So I looked all over the fence for a place I could touch it without getting web on my fingers, and there was none. I put my hand on it regardless, and immediately took it away again. I saw the holes in the web where my fingers had pierced it. I then briefly opened the gate, but I couldn't even go through it without walking into webs. It only opened on the bottom anyhow; I would have had to push to get it to open all the way. I considered climbing the fence. I don't remember if I ended up doing it or not, but I knew it was an unacceptable thing to do for some reason.

Then, I was in some sort of bakery/coffee shop on campus. The interior was all wooden, and since it was summer, there were only a couple of people there. I thought maybe it was closed for the summer. I then noticed the manager, a middle-aged woman, standing in the doorway talking with another woman who looked a bit younger. She was blonde with glasses. I thought to myself that the manager must have to be here every day, even during the summer when their hours were limited. The table I was sitting at was one with Eileen, a woman from my old job. She was a regular there. I think she was eating doughnut holes. She was talking to me about coming to that place every day for breakfast. I don't remember anything else from the conversation, but we talked a bit. I think I also ate a doughnut hole. It was glazed. I think they were homemade.

I was working on a project for a class at my apartment. I was working on it on the bed. It was supposed to be a circular cut out with whatever we liked to put in it in the center. I decided to do mine like a collage, with cutouts from magazines in it. I was going to put some pictures that I had of me, friends, and family on top of the magazine cutouts. I also was painting it. I had painted the edges of the circle green, but noticed I had gotten some paint on the sheets and on the pillowcases. Nothing I could do about it now, though. I painted some shades of blue on the inside as well, and noticed that I had made the top of the circle a light blue, and it gradually faded to a darker blue. It wasn't my intention, but I liked the way it looked.

I had made the inner circle separate from the outer. The outer was a cut out of some construction paper that I painted green. I made the entire inner circle, and put the outer circle around it to see if it had the correct measurements. It wasn't perfect, but absolutely workable. The outer circle was a little big or small at just one area, the bottom right corner. I knew it wasn't going to be a difficult fix. I think I asked my husband about how it looked. At this point, it kind of looked like a pokeball.

I kept thinking about the assignment, and wasn't sure if I was doing it right or not, but I didn't remember the teacher, who was the black man from my precious dream, saying anything too specific.

Someone else was then in the apartment, a girl who was also a student. I asked her something about the assignment, about the specifics. She wasn't sure either.

You might see my recall of last night and say "Damn, Krista, you must have gotten some good sleep to have all these dreams." That would be my first thought too, but I actually did not sleep well at all. I kept waking up every hour, and would have a lot of trouble going back to sleep. I know I dreamed way more than this too, but these are the only ones I remember. My husband also was having trouble sleeping, and he had a lot of vivid dreams as well. We made turkey burgers last night, and never have made them before. That's the only thing I can come up with for why neither of us could sleep, and we both had super vivid dreams.
    5. Brief Lucidity, Missed Couch Giveaway, and a Very Dirty Fish Tank

      by , 10-02-2012 at 04:33 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was standing in a room with a brown-haired lady with a perm. She was sitting in the back of the room on a chair, and I was standing next to her. I feel like the room was predominantly wood. We were talking, I don't remember what about, but I realized I was dreaming during the conversation. I then looked at her, though she was looking straight ahead and not at me, and said
"Well it doesn't matter anyway, this is a dream."
I don't remember what she said back to me after that. She may not have said anything at all.
I then looked straight ahead, and there was a doorway into another room. I wanted to head in there.

I then either woke up or simply lost lucidity.

I was at what was supposed to be my house, but it didn't look like my waking life house. Blake, my brother, was there too. Oddly, I felt like, in the dream, it was a very temporary house, a temporary stay. It was a weird concept.

Well, a chubby older woman with permed grey hair was walking around in the yard looking for something. She was wearing a lime green button up shirt with a white flower pattern. I can't remember what pants she was wearing. I went up to her, and she told me she had wanted the brown couch we had put out there to give away for free, but it was gone. She had wanted to come back and get it. She then named some other things that we had been giving away that she wanted, but none of it was there. She talked a lot. In fact, when I had walked up to her, she was talking to herself, just saying things about the couch and such. She had come back days after we put the stuff out to give it away, so no wonder she had missed it all. I told her it had all already been taken. She kept talking to me about it.

I then saw, or maybe she mentioned, that she had kids. I saw the van she had driven to the house, and there were a couple of small children in there, a little boy and a little blonde girl. She eventually got back in the van with her kids. I remember telling my mom about what had happened on the phone.

Then, I was looking at Blake's beta fish tank. It's really tiny IWL, with no filtration system, so it had to be cleaned quite often. The water didn't look bad. Not perfect, but it was definitely alright for the fish. I then looked above it, and there was another tank the same size with these longer, small silver fish swimming in it. The water level had sunk a bit, and it was filthy and cloudy. I didn't know how the fish were even still alive in that mess! I then looked back down at the original tank, and the water was pretty clean in comparison. I also didn't even see the beta fish in there, but instead, some small, round fish were swimming in there. I do think one was silver, but I can't quite remember anything about the rest of them.
    6. A Very Large Buffalo

      by , 10-01-2012 at 03:50 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was with my dad and I think my brother. We were outside doing something (vague statement is vague). It had something to do with all of our "homes". We were all in our separate spaces, but they weren't separated by walls or anything. I feel like we were decorating our spaces or something to that effect. Something about some game weird game I was playing with my dad. My dad seemed really happy.

I then was walking past a big, vivid, slightly sloped, green field underneath a beautiful, clear blue sky, and I saw this HUGE, vivid, light brown-colored buffalo inside a fenced-in area. He was indeed quite large, even for a buffalo. I exclaimed my finding to the people I was with (it may have not been my dad and brother anymore); I was excited!
      "Look! A buffalo!" I said.
I watched the buffalo walk down the slope, and some epic music was playing. I thought it was fitting, and then, at the end where the fencing closed off, I saw a guy putting a buffalo head mask on top of his own head, and wearing all black on the rest of his body. He was standing on the other side of the fence. He was trying to rile up the buffalo for some show. It was weird, like they were supposed to fight.

I then remember talking to this guy later, when the buffalo mask was gone, though he was still wearing all black. He was an old, ex-military guy with many wrinkles and grey hair. He was very particular and strict about things, and kind of crotchety. He was talking to us a bit about the buffalo, and some other things which I can't remember right now.

When we were talking to him, more people showed up. I then heard
"Krista, do you remember me??" a voice said, loudly.
I looked across from me to see who it was, and it was Lindsay, a lady I know IWL, but haven't seen in a long time, who is, in fact, normally quite a loud talker. I looked at her eyes. They seemed small, but pretty, a beautiful light brown color like her daughter's eyes. She was smiling. I acknowledged her.

Right before I woke up, I dream skipped to talking on the phone to a female doctor about scheduling an appointment.

    7. Possible Lymphoma, A Beautiful House, and Beheading Knives

      by , 08-30-2012 at 04:06 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was at the doctor's with Jake. We were getting tests done. The room was white, and I was sitting on the white table, and a female doctor came in. She told me she had reason to think I had lymphoma. She then gave me this sample cup with some transparent red liquid in it. It was a home test for lymphoma that I was supposed to mix with urine to get the results.

I was then at home, and debating on whether or not I should tell my mom, or anyone for that matter. In the dream, it wasn't as much of a death sentence as it is in waking life, but still wasn't good news to hear. I didn't want to tell anyone yet, not till I knew for sure, anyway.

I went into the bathroom, and pulled down my pants to pee in the cup. In my panties was this note saying something along the lines of since my er...vaginal discharge was still wet after a certain amount of time, I had lymphoma. Gross, I know. I was then holding some magenta, heart-shaped pad. I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I think I threw it out and peed in the cup.

I then sat the cup with the pee and red liquid on the bathroom counter. It was still red; nothing had changed. Hmm...that must be a good thing, right?

I then saw a clear plastic bag on the counter that the cup had come in. It had a dropper in it, and instructions saying how to exactly conduct the test. If the test was positive, the red solution in the cup would turn green. Apparently, I had screwed that one up by peeing directly in the cup. It also said something about putting that magenta, heart-shaped pad in my underwear and wearing it for a certain amount of time. Oops.

I then took a big swig of pure urine, where I got it, I'm not sure, since I had peed only in the red liquid. It was warm and disgusting. I spit it out.

I was then freaking out to someone about lymphoma.
"Am I going to lose my hair?!" I panicked.
I don't remember the response, I think it was something like "not necessarily."

I then was posting a question about it on some forum, I think it was DV but I'm not sure, but instead of referring to it as lymphoma, I referred to it as "schuza". Lolwut.

My family and I were house shopping (IWL we are selling our house here and moving to another state). We were looking at a beautiful, huge house. It was so big, it was like a maze. My mom and I were walking around, going in at out of beautiful rooms. We walked into this one room with a very nice bathroom.
"I want this room!" I said. I was so excited!
Then we went into another room, and the bathroom had a HUGE, beautiful shower. The shower was white, and glassed-in, with different "stations" in it for washing.
"No, I want this one!" I said. I've always had a thing for nice showers (true IWL).
The room also had a little "nook" where a twin bed sat. On the other side of the nook sat another twin bed. I thought that was the coolest thing! I wanted it so bad, but I have a queen-sized bed, and there was only enough room for a twin. Oh well, if I had this room, I could use the nook for other things.
I really hoped my parents bought this house. It was so wonderful.

We continued to explore the house and its endless rooms. There were big and small rooms, so many to choose from for bedrooms!

I was outside in the driveway with my mom. There were other people there as well, people that my mom didn't like. One was a little boy with dark hair and a bowl cut. My mom was saying how much I didn't like him and how annoying he was. She said I should behead all of the people there because they were annoying. I then had a sword in my hand. I didn't want to kill, I never want to kill, no matter how much I'm "annoyed".

Then, the child laid on the ground. His head was then a knife blade, with a very small space between the blade and the body that was supposed to be the neck. I knew I needed to do it for some reason, as much as I abhored the idea, and the fact that I have a strange phobia of blood. In one swipe, I cleanly severed the "head", and blood oozed out. The driveway was then carpet, and I was afraid the blood would stain.

I then had to do it again to five or so other people. Their heads were knives also, and in one swipe, I cleanly severed them. Blood oozed out. I told my mom I did it, and she was proud of me. She didn't think I could do it. The only thing she said I was supposed to do that I didn't was slowly stab the first person in the head with a steak knife so they would suffer. I said no, I would not do that. If I had to kill these people, I would make it quick and painless.

The blood stains and the bodies were then gone, and we were in the house. We started to hear what sounded like the tornado siren. We went outside, and the sky was clear and blue. We stood in the driveway and looked over the house in the opposite direction, and saw this big, strange cloud moving quickly towards us. It was sparkling. It was really weird.

I then heard my mom say something to her friend Lisa, who wasn't there with us, but maybe on the phone? She said
"I said to paint i's, not eyes!"
The sparkles on the clouds then appeared to be eyes.
"Oh! I guess I'll have to redo it then!" said Lisa's disembodied voice.

I was laying on the couch in the living room with Jake, watching TV. It was dark in the room save for the TV, and nighttime outside. Jake was cuddling with me. He was spending the night, and we were sleeping on the couch. I then heard someone come in the back door, and thought he probably wouldn't be able to stay now since someone else was home. Oh well. I was so tired, I was gonna just fall asleep despite the fact that Jake was probably about to be told to go home. Maybe they wouldn't notice us in here.

So yeah...the first dream and the second to last were kind of fucked up. O_O

Also, I wonder why I keep dreaming about Jake? We dated for awhile, and though we aren't anymore, we are still friends. But he has been in so many dreams lately. Odd.

    8. Frags, Odd Half Asleep Dream, and An Unfinished Project

      Dream - Lucid

I was in my car, looking at my gas gauge. Close to empty, even though I just got gas. I pulled into the gas station. I thought about my dwindling funds.

I then remember seeing an above view of two old men sitting in chairs across from one another. One passed a magnifying glass to the other. I think they were reading with it.

Then, I remember panic, and seeing a white cat clock with the arms going haywire. Something was going on with this, some kind of torture or something. I put my hand on the arms of the clock to stop them.

I was trying to fall back asleep this morning after being awake for an hour or so.

I slipped into a dream, and I was concentrating on staring at my laptop screen. I thought I was still trying to fall asleep. As I concentrated on the background, I could see "behind" the current picture that's there, and there was a picture of my cat sitting in my messy room. I felt like that meant I was falling asleep. I then started to feel the SP buzz in my head, but I got to excited, and lost the sensation.

Then, I was standing on an overhang overlooking the top of a staircase. I heard a conversation between a man and a woman, the man I think was the woman's son. They were fighting. The man, who reminded me of Jake's dad and one of my old friends, Alan, said
"Well what do you think I'm doing up there all the time? Smoking?" I could feel his anger, but that's precisely what he had been doing. He was going up the stairs as he said this. I was worried he would lose his temper and someone would get hurt.
I don't remember the woman's answer, or if she even did answer.

I then looked at the wall beside the staircase, and there were these small square patches cut out with white and green cloth inside of them. I then felt like it was Austin's grandparents' house, and I knew why the wall was like that: They had been trying to fix the wall, or tile it, but they had just never gotten around to finishing the project.

    9. Chemistry Experiments and Floating Through the Floor

      by , 06-02-2011 at 05:18 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I remember I was going to give my friend who just got married, Christina, a wedding present. I was going to the coffee shop where I work to give it to her, but then figured out I left the gift at my house. Kacey gave me a card that she was going to give to her. I didn't want to give it to her, because I wanted to give her my gift.

I remember being in the coffee shop and telling Christina congratulations. I did end up giving her Kacey's card. The card had a very complicated wrapping process. It was strange. I remember Christina opening it at my house. I then gave her a CD, and told her I had another one that I thought she'd like. The second CD was actually a video game.

I then remember doing these weird chemical tests. They had something to do with the way toilets flushed. I had to take samples of the water, and put them into a small test tube of dye. If the toilets flushed down, then the dye would turn green. If they flushed up, the dye would turn blue. Most of my tests in flushing the toilet resulted in the water going down resulting in green results, but I did get some blue results. I remember also being outside in a field with another scientist performing tests on the solutions we had gotten.

We were then driving around town, listening to music on the radio. The station we were listening to was only playing a minute or so of each song. We were in some parking garage, and I gave 2 of my test samples to some guy, whose name was Simon, as we drove by. The scientist I was with asked me what I did. I told him I gave them to Simon. He said that I'd need to get them back. I told him I would.

I remember seeing the samples labeled "Tornado #_ _ _ _" (each had a 4 digit number after the word 'tornado').

I then remember being in my house in the very middle of the staircase. I floated upwards, but could not go through the ceiling. I thought that was weird, I should be able to do that! I then tried to go down through the floor. That I could do. I went through the stairs into a small, dark area. It almost felt a little warmer down there. I contemplated going lower. I then floated back up, and tried again to go through the ceiling. The ceiling moved a little under the pressure I put on it. It cracked a little bit and seemed to glow green.

I also remember Christina getting annoyed with me for some reason.

I wonder why floating didn't induce lucidity? Meh. I haven't been lucid in a few weeks now. I think I've just had too much on my mind. -_-
