Understood, same deal here! I keep weakly justifying all of this culinary excess with "maybe it'll effect dreaming somehow", but come on, who am I fooling? Excited to check out those entries whenever you get time for them! In the meantime, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, etc.!

There's a certain fogginess to my thinking sometimes where I alternate between getting totally caught up in the dream and ruthlessly focused on goals to the detriment of everything else.
Oh, that's understandable, especially with unlimited things to see and do!

Hope you had a flying chariot dream of your own -- I'll check out your DJ to see!
Not yet, but I am looking forward to anything my subcon will come up to positively surprise me. Still got a couple of entries to update, hopefully will post them the coming week. The holiday season is taking its toll already, people wanting to see you, unhealthy food...

@Nyx - Yeah, can you imagine how cool it would be to visit a dream version of the Temple of Zeus? I think that in retrospect I'd have gone for that as well. It's very hard for me to always make clear decisions on what to experience in dreams. There's a certain fogginess to my thinking sometimes where I alternate between getting totally caught up in the dream and ruthlessly focused on goals to the detriment of everything else.

Hope you had a flying chariot dream of your own -- I'll check out your DJ to see!

@fogelbise - Cool!! I'll definitely check it out, man! That's awesome to hear!

You're right, it's cool how the mind will latch onto something that gets your attention / captivates you in a scene and tends to expand on it. (For better or for worse!)

It's a very visual way to see how a train of thought can get going in our minds. Some of them are fun to ride, while some are less so, of course. For the most part, though, it's been my experience that if we're relaxed, enjoy the process, and can manage not to worry too much about it, it's great fun watching the way that dreams unfold.

Thanks! I can't promise to remember to always keep my invincibility intact, but it was very handy for staying on track and not freaking out. (Something I am capable of, unfortunately!)

Thanks, Nyx, nice of you to say! It's cool to see what we come up with when our conscious minds aren't interfering, editing, and generally getting in the way of the creative process!

That is a good idea... taking it slow, noticing the details that are already there to immerse yourself and give them time to build up the way that they should. That seems like exactly the right way to handle things.

If you ever do get interested in supps, don't hesitate to ask any questions should they arise.
Thank you, will do! By the way, reading your 4 LDs gave me a lot of inspiration and paid off last night!!

Fantastic dream! I guess this is one of those dreams where you go crazy with happiness from seeing all these amazing historical places, items, and people. I probably would have paid a visit to the temple of Zeus, Greek architecture is great and who knows what kinds of secrets the temple holds?

And flying chariots - no, I can't take it anymore, need to go to bed as soon as possible!

Wow, it's amazing how this whole scenario started with just one spaceship. That's the magic of our subcon. Great ld and nicely done being invincible to ship attacks!

The non-ld parts of your dreams always start so cool. You really have to consider giving a script idea or two to your movie making friend.

The part with the rebuilding dream was awesome. I often try to take it slow to allow the dream to form wherever I am going - don't move faster than your expectations

What's cool is that the scientific explanations are no less fascinating/amazing than any of the more mystical or mysterious explanations.

I also find that while the explanations are very interesting, they pale in comparison to the experiences themselves. The clinical explanations for dreams, sex, triumph, joy, etc. are just so small next to the experiences themselves, you know?

Thanks, Nyx! Although I'm keeping my expectations realistic (especially during holiday craziness!), I'm still hoping for a strong-ish push here at the end.

I was pleased that the cute DCs didn't throw me off course here, and they definitely helped me out with what I was asking them to do. The only flaw was that I had misremembered the TotY goal, heh heh... can't have it all!

I was intrigued too! I can't come up with a precise meaning (did she mean in dreams or in waking life?) but just as you said, this applies well in both situations. (Like so many things!)

Maybe the DC was giving me advice on how to avoid insomnia for the rest of the night.

Thanks, Highlander! I'm starting to accept that I may not be getting all the Tasks of the Year done, but I'm going to fight like crazy for my favorites until the ball drops in New York.
      Good luck!

Thanks, it was a pretty striking scene! The imagery was convincing enough that I felt highly motivated to stay up on the rooftop level.

Yes, I had a number of things going for me here to get 4 lucids in one night! First of all, I took a galantamine + choline stack at WBTB. Pre-bed I also took some 5-HTP in order to suppress early REM.

In addition to that, I was coming off of several nights of only 5-6 hours of sleep and was in for significant REM rebound. I got plenty of sleep that night (nearly 9 hours, unheard of for me!), and I was on vacation and had spent much of the day exposed to novel stimuli.

And this was my first WBTB in several days. So I had everything blowing in the right direction!

Yeah, it was a fun little sci-fi romp! Yeah, I don't know whether I was wearing blue colors or if I just got caught in the crossfire. but a warzone's no place for a peaceful lucid. These things are much more entertaining from a distance.

Hey, neurology department, that's one to make you think! Nothing like having your brain use a dream to offer you up the number for a neurology department!

That's cool, too, about the highway number. We know these things that are a part of our dream world have a source in our own histories and imagination, but it can be hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. It makes for a beautiful blend either way.

You know, you're right, it did feel like the dream was kind of forming on the fly, perhaps not quite quickly enough to keep me "naturally" locked in. That may be why it was easier to fall into the void.

This sounds like another visual I would have loved to see! Was that 4 LDs in one night? Either way, one night or multiple, that is awesome!!! Any supplements help for this series of LDs? I have never tried any but feeling a little temptation to.
