    1. Lucid dare - Dreamer's Sleazebag

      by , 09-09-2014 at 01:46 PM
This dream was interrupted by a couple of DEILDs, though I suspect that one or more of then may have been a false awakening - difficult to tell with your eyes closed and a degree of lingering REM atonia!

I'm climbing/vaulting over a fence and notice that I'm playing with the physics and re-doing the manoeuvre a couple of times so I GET LUCID!

I look around at the environment and see that I'm in a sunny meadow with trees to the sides and a step wooded hillside ahead. I start exploring the woods, enjoying the vividness of the cool soil-scented air, the gentle background noises of birds and a breeze soughing through the trees, and the detailed undergrowth. The sun is filtering through the treetop canopy in cool dapples lifting the ambient light level to a pleasant clarity.

After a brief exploration of a few paths among the trees, I start heading back downhill, apparently by a different path because I come across some ramshackle buildings in the edges of the forest. I think about how it's a shame that these pretty and romantic buildings are going to waste, but then notice some evidence of restoration in progress, apparently somebody's planning to resuscitate them and make a home here, which pleases me.

I'm vaguely aware that I have lucid tasks to do that involve people, so I start looking for a more populated area, though I don't think much about the specifics of the tasks yet.

As I continue downhill, the buildings become a little denser and the path becomes a residential road. The general feel is very reminiscent of the outskirts of Shrewsbury where I grew up, or perhaps a nearby village. As I notice this similarity, I also notice that there are people around, also strolling in the same direction as me. I recognise a few of them as people I knew in Shrewsbury, though I can't remember their names. I engage one in conversation and tell them about how this place seems to be my subconscious generating a Shrewsbury-esque scene, built out of the kind of scenery typical of Shrewsbury but not layed out the same. As we have this conversation about how it's a dreamsign for me to be in Shrewsbury, especially when it's clearly not *actually* Shrewsbury, the scenery is slowly becoming more reminiscent of the suburbs rather than the outlying areas, and still clearly a random imitation. I hope that this conversation will help my subconscious to recognise dream like scenery more easily in future dreams.

I briefly DEILD (FA?) here so the next scene is a little disconnected from the previous, but I've thought a little more about my lucid dare. I also note that my bladder would like some attention but I decide that lucid dreaming takes priority for now.

I'm in a room that feels like Bluecoat school, surrounded by jubilee people and I look for a female who looks like she might object amusingly to flirtatious behaviour in order that I can be sleazy without my inner horndog bending the scenario into a predictable humpfest!

I see Jo and lean over to *flibble* her breasts. She looks surprised and a little taken aback but not properly outraged. She also doesn't look turned on, though, so one nil to will over subconscious!

I try to remember some more ways to be obnoxious. I wolf whistle and shout out "Hey, Jo! Looking sexy!" making sure everyone around notices and disapproves. She starts walking away so I run around to overtake her, jump onto a table, flip my nob out and wave it in her face. She's definitely not impressed and bites it hard. Apparently my subconscious finds this an unimaginable turn on as I start ejaculating a seemingly endless stream which I decide to direct into a nearby sink. Probably inspired by my recently acknowledged full bladder, this turns into a stream of wee.

Feeling nervous that all this fluid release might not be only in the dream world, I wake up, glad to discover that I'm not humping my pillow or wallowing in a puddle. I decide to visit the little boys' room.
    2. 101 dreamsigns, and I GET LUCID!

      by , 07-13-2014 at 09:18 PM
I'm walking home from town with a couple of bags of grocery shopping, crossing the ringroad roundabout by the police station. I'm coming down the stairs into the underpass and notice that the headroom at the bottom of the stairs is very restricted, so I'm stooping to see if I'm in anyone's way.

I spot John Fieldsend and his wife, who I've never seen outside of Shrewsbury, where I used to live years ago, and a girl I take to be their daughter (though far too young but hey) I greet them with "Hello, Fieldsends" I also notice that I'm not wearing and shoes and the ground's a little wet so my yellow socks are getting wet. I decide I should get my shipping home before I go back to town to get my boots which I "remember" I left in a shop up town.

Coming out of the far side of the underpass (onto a street that's not the one normally there) I notice the sunny well lit ambiance and identify it as one of my dreamsigns. All of a sudden I realise that seeing the Fieldsends counts, too, and the very low headroom in the underpass, and having no shoes on is also suspicious. I decide to do a reality check because I'm more suspicious than convinced. I start levitating above the ground and now I *know* it's a dream!

I ditch the shopping bags and fly up above the houses. My dream starts to fade rapidly. It's getting dark and I'm nowhere near any surfaces to fondle. I try spinning but the dream keeps fading. I'm now aware of my sleeping body and realise I can't keep hold of the dream. In retrospect, it might have been an FA, but I just rolled over and went back to sleep, not even smart enough to try a DEILD, Doh!
    3. Lazy WILD

      by , 06-27-2014 at 08:10 AM
I attempt a WILD after a small awakening - not quite successful, but I GET LUCID anyway, woo!

I'm in the very beginnings of a dream scene and I try to use a dance-like physical anchor. I'm doing a little dance up some shallow sun-soaked sandstone stairs, I turn to the right to see an almost ladder like very step section which I feel and start climbing. At this point I realise that I'm in the dream already and GET LUCID! I decide to take a quite passive role in this dream and just explore. I climb to the top of the ladder like section and there's a broad covered walkway with a view over a castle where the original stairs were heading to. I look at a few features but forget to hold on to my lucidity and rapidly lose it (grr!) I wake up shortly after that :-(

    4. Task of the Month for June 2014

      by , 06-17-2014 at 12:30 PM
I become lucid spontaneously, as is most common for me. I'm in the middle of a sunny pedestrianised street. There's a general old-timey feel to the scene, perhaps mediaeval? The scene is very vague and I feel like perhaps I'm halfway between dreaming and visualising while awake. I decide to try to stabilise my connection to the dream scene and ignore any hint of waking life experience that might bring me back to the waking world. I fondle some surfaces and look intently at a few things. I try sniffing for smells but all I get is a slightly stuffy nose feeling.

I spot the moon in the blue sky and feel drawn to stare at it. The thought crosses my mind that focusing on a specific object sometimes brings it closer, which starts to happen. As it comes closer it looks more like Earth. I decide that another planet is basically just a really big meteorite by the time it enters the atmosphere, so I will it to come faster and faster. It's silent which I consider trying to fix but realise it's probably coming multiple times faster than the speed of sound so I wouldn't be able to hear it before it arrives!

The other-earth smashes into the ground over the horizon and there's a moment of silence before the ground leaps up in waves a couple of hundred metres high and the atmosphere explodes into flame. The waves of earth get steep enough that they "break" with the tips curving enough that they no longer bend, but snap into a million clods of earth and rubble.

    5. Shortest LD record contender!

      by , 06-13-2014 at 08:45 AM
I woke up around half four with a vague memory that I had dreamed, so I paused to think about it and remembered that I had become lucid and was walking through a sunny scene. I remembered that I wanted to try out as many RCs as I could remember. I tried to push my fingers through the palm of me left hand and it felt like walking life. I pushed harder and tried a twisting action. Eventually I managed to get half a finger through by wiggling.

      That's it, about four seconds!

After that I decided to try WILDing but got memorable NLDs.

      1. Playing tennis mixed doubles, our opponents make a tactical error by coming to our side of the net as I deliver a return. I congratulate my partner with a bottom spank. I note that that's not really appropriate but think that it would be OK if I was a girl, so I was. Then the idea of playing not-tennis excites me awake, boo! :-(

      2. At a drama / history workshop, roleplaying with fake beards and moustaches, reliving some historic famine situation. I climb up a step valley side to the top of a cliff where I spot a mirage effect on one of the rocks. I shout down to some people at the bottom of the cliff and then reenact a daring rescue attempt of a girl stuck on the cliff face. Then I go back down to help tidy up the props.

    6. Task of the Month for June 2014

      by , 06-08-2014 at 05:00 PM
As with petty much all my lucids I got lucid spontaneously. I was in some kind of well lit warehouse or factory type space. I was surprised to be lucid because I hadn't expected it, but I had presence of mind enough to try to stabilise the dream by fondling various textures (cellophane, concrete, denim, hair) I spent a little time being distracted by a pretty girl but then remembered to think about my lucid goals.

First, I chose one of the DCs to try repeating, he was a slightly weaselly chap who didn't really have anything interesting to say, but u repeated a few sentences of it anyway. (I can't remember what he said, it was a touch more interesting than "hey" but not much!)

After that I thought of have a go at summoning a meteor strike, so I headed outside. It was just turning dark outside as I walked down the street looking for inspiration on the meteoric bombardment front and I decided to climb some scaffolding on a building nearby to get a better view of the sky.

I started getting distracted by various twisting paths through the building and scaffolding and ended up switching to a classic non lucid dream about cycling through the same bit of pah multiple times until the chain wore out and needed fixing...

    7. TOTM June 2014

      by , 06-03-2014 at 01:31 PM
My recall is a bit patchy and my level of lucidity wasn't very high and kept coming and going, but I managed a basic task nonetheless :-)

I got lucid from a DEILD using an odd dance manoeuvre as my anchor (hopping into the air and touching my left knee against my right elbow, alternating with the opposite way around) I came into my LD on a sunny street with lots of old buildings (a hodgepodge of Tudor, late Victorian redbrick, and other stuff - I wasn't looking, really)

I still felt a little unstable in my dream because I had a residual sensation of my sleeping body's arms, so I decided to look at my feet and legs and work up to my arms. I was wearing the same clothes as I had been wearing that day in waking life.

Once I saw my dream body's hands, I knew I wasn't in immediate danger of waking up again, so I started leaping into the air to get a better view of the scene and find an interesting DC to interact with. I saw a few faces with greater clarity than I usually get (most of my DCs have very vague faces indeed and seeing clearer faces is one of my personal dream goals)

I got a little distracted by a couple of DCs who probably ought to have taken a pregnancy test and might have got me one of the advanced tasks! This is a sure sign of fading lucidity for me, but after a while I realised I was still lucid and tried to remember the tasks. The only one I could remember was the kiss-a-guy task, which I probably remembered just because I didn't like the idea of it at all! As I was still on the street with the old buildings, I started looking for male DCs to smooch and ended up in a warehouse / workshop with some big burly men working on manly metalwork type things in hard hats and such. I approached the nearest one, probably about my age with designer stubble, and went to kiss him. He cooperated because in my dream he was only there for the task, so it made no sense for him to so otherwise. I gave him a quick peck on the lips and moved on.

Anyway, as I said, I only managed one basic task, and I've missed out what felt like about 20 minutes of not-really-lucid that I don't remember very clearly (including a big section with my little girl sleeping in a small tent in my bedroom - dreamsign?) So if there's a one wing option, I'd be happy to take that and see if I can improve on this attempt some time over the next couple of weeks
