What Kind of Resort is This?

There was some dream before this, but I don't quite remember what it was anymore.

I was preparing to walk down a long beach path towards some building which I was registering as some sort of resort. I was following this guy, AB, who I knew back in high school. He was walking exactly where the land met the water and I was under the impression that that was the only way to get there, but after taking only a single step in the water I slipped and fell and almost got my phone wet. I was a little anxious, but then AB looked back at me and gestured over to the side, where it was clear that you could just walk along the rest of the beach to get there no problem. Oh, silly me.

There was a small balcony outside two different doors leading into the resort that I could see, and standing on it was this girl with pretty tan skin. She kind of caught me off guard because I could have sworn that upon first glance from the front she appeared to be wearing a green bathing suit with a bikini top, but from the back there was suddenly an extra design that covered the rest of her back from the bikini down, and it was mostly diamonds and ties an looked like a club or bar outfit of some kind. It actually kind of reminded me of the front of Shakira's outfit in the Dare music video, now that I think about it. Honestly I was mainly looking at her because I found her very attractive, but I did notice that she seemed to be shouting some kind of promotion for the resort. I figured they must have just hired her to stand out there and attract customers.

I decided to walk into the door on my left and ended up at some kind of Earthbound-like store, just lots of mostly female hippie outfits and jewelry and weird stones and the like. My friend N was there and was just kind of browsing, and I just watched him sift through the products for a minute until I saw that they were selling cards for some new trading card game. I don't really remember what the card game was about anymore, but the cards were pretty vividly detailed at the time as I recall. I ended up grabbing just a couple of cards to take with me (I honestly don't remember paying for them at all) and walked out of the store, to a pretty dull hallway with a staircase and some military guy in it. I decided to follow the stairs and see where they took me.

I end up in a small room with only one table to sit at, and my old friends D, C, and possibly O (most likely, but he never really said anything so it's kind of hard to remember now) were all just there eating some food that appeared to come from a cafeteria. There was another military guy just kind of standing their in the background, kind of watching them I think but just because they happened to be there. They were having a conversation that I could actually hear, but it escapes me now. I ended up chiming in about the trading cards I bought and showing them off because if I have any friends who would appreciate them it would be them, and then the military guy walks over to us. He basically just points to the cards and starts talking about how addictive the card game is, because apparently he's gotten into it (and I think he said it related to how he was really into sci-fi or something). He said he just couldn't stop collecting them. Once he walked away, C and I made a lame but simultaneous (and therefore awesome) "Gotta catch 'em all!" joke.

I ended up looking down at my cards again for a moment, and then when I looked back up the scene had changed slightly. We were now in what appeared to be a first floor room with a little bit of view outside to an open field, and I'm not sure if the military guy was there anymore. There was also a TV playing to the left of my in the corner of the room, and I was no longer sitting at the same table as the rest of the group, but instead was just one table back. D and C were now having a heated discussion about some faux pas that D had apparently made some time in the recent past that I believe was related to race, and then we all turned to the TV to see an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia playing. Dee happens to make an excuse which relates to the exact situation that D and C are discussion, and D says "There, you see!" as if to solve the argument. However, upon reflection, I think it's actually kind of sad if you have to use something that a character from that show said to justify your actions.

After that I woke up, at first remembering nothing, but then this all started coming back to me.
