    Scrawlings of a Mad Man

Since my recall has been rather spotty the last few days, along with a number of other reasons like me wanting to have a better record of things, I have decided to make it a habit to write a post here of my sleep and dreams from the previous night. Coincidentally, it has also been exactly a year since my last post. I'll call that synchronous.

The plan is to record the relevant times of my sleep patterns and anything from the day before that may have impacted either them or the content of my dreams, which I will also record everything I can remember from as well.

    Sleep Pattern:

    Timings:
    Lights Out - 02:30
    Sleep - ~3:30-4:00
Attempted relaxation and WILD, didn't get much results. Tried using fear to effect the process. Seemed to help a little though I will need to test it a lot more before I make such a claim.
    1st Recalled Awakening - 08:30
    No Subsequent Awakenings
    Up - 9:30

    Modifiers the Day Before:
-3 glasses of decaf tea around 19:00.
-War games at a local game store.

    Modifiers Going to Bed:
-Slightly sick with a cough and a scratchy (but not painful) feeling throat.
-Felt tired but not sleepy when I turned the lights out.
-Had been using my computer and phone just before I did so.

    Modifiers Getting Up:
-Had somewhere to be at 10:00.

    Dreams:
I do not remember anything specific, though I think that I did have dreams and maybe a lucid that I recalled at some point before now. I have noticed in the past that I generally need 8 to 9 hours of sleep in order to actually recall my dreams from the night, short of directly waking up from them. And that my recall plummets if I stay in bed for a long period of time after waking as I did today.
