    1. Camp Time Fun / Let's Race

by , 10-31-2014 at 05:34 PM (Casting Shadows)
      Dreams on October 29.

First dream: I'm a part of a Christian camp and I'm in a cabin. My councilor (or at least the one who teaches me from the little book we get) is a young, black dude, probably in his late teens, who was very friendly. He sort of reminded me of a hippy. I had a giant magnifying glass and he wanted to see.

But before that the heads of my cabin were putting us all in the little areas in the camp we needed to go to.

Afterwards, one girl in my cabin said she got to talk to one of the pageant leaders.

      Second dream
: I showed Ivory Coke songs and she liked them. I was talking to her--I think out loud--while I was walking to a convenient store. I seen her behind the glass door and she was looking pretty; I remember that her hair was straight. We were talking a bit and at some point she pulled the door open so I could come inside (I would have pulled it open anyway, but I don't think I wanted to--I think I wanted our interaction to be more poetic). Two Hispanics come up behind me and I offer to let them come through, but they move on to the next door and the mother said, "That's how you deal with people like that," referring to me.

Then Mama, Daddy and I are in a car. Mama's knee is messed up and Daddy is angry. He has a sharp, plastic stick he uses to strike her with when he thinks we're about to crash. He sits in the middle of the front seats so he can be ??? something, I don't know. Though I am in the back, I am the one braking.

We go speeding down the road, but I keep applying pressure on the brakes. Mama says that this way of driving is good, because it keeps her from going too fast because she is angry (mostly with Daddy, probably).

Cars do come out and they are everywhere. It becomes difficult to dodge them and we wreck.

We're back in the beginning, as if it's a video game. I suggest we do it again, and my parents seem as though their tension goes out and they are happy. This time when we get in I'm in the passenger's seat, though still the brake.

      (We drive in rural areas.)

    2. Dream Fragments

by , 10-29-2014 at 01:04 AM (Casting Shadows)
Before going to sleep last night I had a very strong feeling that if I wanted to remember my dream and possibly even be lucid, I needed to wake up at two o'clock. I set two alarms: for two and for five.

I'm not sure if I was lucid from ten to two, but here's all I could remember:

It was nighttime, and someone had killed a unicorn--a supernatural being. They were drinking its blood.

      So clearly from October's TofM.

I had another dream fragment, but I don't remember it now. Here's what I wrote at two in the morning (so sorry, this is gonna be . . . weird):
"My father is a jerk and we're all at Ucon's Quick Stop and he's yelling and blah and Mama's having a bit of a meltdown.

"[A boy from school] was there and he said, 'If someone called you a bad word, what would you do?' "
    3. Plays

by , 10-27-2014 at 08:16 PM (Casting Shadows)
Went to bed at eleven forty-six and woke up at six-seventeen.

The dream lasted for six days.

My parents finally accumulated enough money to buy alcohol, and they got really drunk. The next day Johnny goes out to town with them and they come back he's the first one inside. His hair is shorter than what it really is and his voice and personality are that of Donny from the previous Big Brother season. Every time the door opens, I can see that it's overcast. I can also see that there are at least three big black boxes in the car--that's how much alcohol they bought.

"It sure was mean of them to buy all that beer," he said from Daddy's seat. (Not wearing a hat, wearing long-sleeve white shirt.)

My dad comes in, still drunk, and I don't exactly remember what they said but I think Johnny was saying that he was better than Daddy, and of course Daddy was getting madder and madder. Father kept telling him to get out, shouting at him, and I thought a fight was going to break out, but finally Johnny leaves.

The dream fast-fowards through the weekend and stops at either Monday or Tuesday. There were two projects from Art i was meant to do, and I can't remember them very well, but one of Jackson's was to draw a Pokemon. He tried to tell me it was so realistic that you could hear it as if it were real and then he played a dinosaur noise on his phone, but of course, I called him out on it.

Wednesday the thirty-first rolled around, and it was just my luck that I even found the beginning of one of them (the same project as Jackson's Pokemon). Still, I did turn it in (I also recall walking around the Art room, though what I was doing I don't remember. I do know that I had a bit of trouble squeezing through desks and chairs).

At the end, the teacher announced that we would all be going to a pageant and something else, and tomorrow we would get our tickets. (The pageant was actually a play.)

The next day I was standing in line to get my passport and ticket for the plane. The machine that gave us both was in the school. Gail was in front of me and Chris M. was behind. I had meant to look and see what everyone else was doing, but had instead dozed off. I only came to when Gail was putting her money in this plastic pink cup that looked as though it would eventually be pulled up like a bucket from a water well. The passport and ticket were side-by-side, but I stood there for a moment, trying to figure out which one I should grab, or how I should grab it, until Chris picked up both of them and handed them to me.

As I walked out of the school, the principal was standing by to see us off. I asked what the other thing was that we'll be doing and he explains in a comical manner and some girl behind him laughs.

It's night outside, and the Art teacher, someone else, and Chris are waiting in the car for me. They eventually turn into my parents (I don't remember who replaced Chris) and I began to wonder how long I would be gone. I unfolded my passport and it said something like,

6 from 9 weeks in a Sweepstakes Hotel
3 of which payed for by Sweepstakes!

In the real world this would mean that I'd be gone for only three weeks, all of which would be payed for by Sweepstakes (which was some dream company I suppose), but in the dream either it meant I'd be gone for six weeks or I only thought I would be gone for six weeks.

The play was going to be about Naruto and my dad commented and said that he thought it was already over and I said that the guy who does it is wrapping up.

We--all of the students--would be the ones starring in the play.

DF: I wanted to be in a club . . . a math club? And I remember that we had to do something mathy in front of someone and I was just going to make a heart sign with my hands and say it was an indented triangle.

"If you screw this up, you're just the idiot who screwed it up."

DF: I have to go to school with Perseus. We're walking down the road to the bus stop and I keep dropping my books. He keeps trying to wait for me, but I tell him to go ahead so he can get to the bus in time and tell the driver to wait for me. He doesn't listen at first, but it's too late by the time he does and the bus drives off.

      It's overcast.

    5. Summer Camp

by , 10-25-2014 at 09:06 PM (Casting Shadows)
I went to sleep around ten last night and woke up at five.

      DF:
Something about a man in black standing in the distance.

I stayed up for an hour and went back to sleep, and then woke up at eight.

      DF
: Something was going on and I wanted to sleep, so I went in a bedroom and did that.

Dream: Several of my friends and I went to a camp that was most likely located in Tennessee. I remember Jasper (my best friend), Cho, and Jackson (from school) coming with me. My parents were also there, except being there forced them into younger bodies and mindsets. After she spent a little time there my mother was ready to return to the real world, but Daddy wanted to stay.

Campers stayed in fairly large cabins, most of which were bigger than a lot of houses, and they were all separated depending on age and gender. At some point during the night Jackson's group picked their cabin from the inside and moved it to where we were. The girls and I seen it from the windows and were mostly impressed as they managed the feat again.

In fact, I was so impressed that I wanted to see if I could do it, too. I walked over to one of the walls (wooden, of course, and a very dark brown) and placed my palms on it, pushing it upward. I'm not sure if it worked or not, but it may have.

The next day we were eating (I'm not sure if this was breakfast, lunch, or supper). The cafeteria looked very much like my school's, except campers were allowed to eat in the back (and at my school they aren't). I wanted to speak with Jasper but it was very difficult to find him, so we talked on the phone while we both walked around the cafeteria, attempting to locate the other. At some point I did find him, yet he always walked away from me even if I told him to stop, and I think he changed his appearance a tiny bit so that it was harder for me to find him.

Finally, camp was over and we were meant to go back home. Everyone crowded out into the afternoon. There were quite a few cabins, which I hadn't realized prior to then, and also an oak tree in the center of the camp. Forest was all around us, but there was a dirt road that went into the area. We were waiting for our rides to come pick us up. I was by Cho.

Well, we seen cars driving fast and a camp-cop stopped many of them and let a few through, and the campers who were going to ride with them hopped on in and they all drove off. This happened a few more times, until finally Cho and I were the only ones left in the camp. We realized that we were going to have to walk all the way back home, and stated going down the road.

It was very steep, but thankfully at a certain point a fence that was meant to be barbed wire in the dream appeared to our left, which was good because it was easy to hold onto it while we climbed. Occasionally there were holes in the fence which led to certain things, though I'm not sure what. Eventually, right before Cho and I hit an extremely steep hill, she said, "I'm so glad that we found Liberty Land."

Now, the Liberty Land that she was speaking of is shut down now, but I went to it twice or thrice as a younger child with my parents. I was in front of her, facing the hole (she only knew it was there, she couldn't see). Although I don't remember there being a ceiling, or any other cover, it was nighttime in the hole and the afternoon outside of it. It was a huge circle, and I could make out stripes of red and white and squares of blue with stars in them, and the entire deal was covered in white fluffy stuffing--the same stuffing one finds in stuffed toys. I realized that it would be easy, so easy, to hide in Liberty Land to rest. I climbed in, but didn't get far.

An elderly woman with gray-white hair, elastic light blue jeans, and either a pink or green shirt materialized in front of me, and told me that it would not be wise to stay there. I understood and believed her and turned around to go just as Cho was about to climb in (it didn't seem as though she could see the woman). I briefly wondered who she was, and thought that she might be the ghost of one of the people who died from the rides.

As soon as we got out, we turned behind us and seen several girls getting into cars--neither of which had been there previously. We joined them.

I'm not sure if Cho turned into Gail or if Gail was merely already in the car, but she and I went to my place, where I ate stale popcorn and she watched the Bonds Naruto movie.

DF: My parents are fighting and I warn them that if they don't stop I'll call the cops, but they don't mind me. I grab my phone and walk out the door, which opens up to the break area at my school. My phone doesn't seem to be working at all, because I can't get to where I need to to dial 911.
