    What is even REAL anymore?

    I don't even know what's real anymore. I just had the realest dream I've ever had in my life. Everything was so clear and detailed it was amazing. I could see individual blades of grass and tiny bugs flying around from one blade of grass to the other. There was no plot to the dream. My buddies and I were just laying around on the grass on a nice summer day. Then I realized it was way too bright out considering what time it was.
    I DID A REALITY CHECK AND NOTHING WEIRD HAPPENED. I tried to stick my finger through my hand and nothing happened.
    So, it looked real. It felt real. And nothing my reality check failed to work. Now I'm legitimately skeptical of me being in reality right now. What is reality anyways?

    Above all, I need a new plan for doing reality checks. Any ideas?

      Ahhh..there's nothing like that first hyper realistic dream. Even if you are lucid, you won't look at dreams, or waking the same again!

      I try to be aware of what being in my dream body FEELS like. you could also try flying. float up or flap your arms like wings... that usually works for me.

      The nose pinch test only fails if you are sick or something and have a stuffy nose irl.

      But I have rationalized the test failing before by saying "Oh, I must not have closed my nose completely and so air got through."

      One time I ran through the gauntlet of tests and they all passed but I wasn't convinced I wasn't dreaming. I focused on the weightlessness of my body and began to float higher and higher. I couldn't get down and woke up.
